Do you think the meta is effective at every league?

So I was wondering if you think the meta is really the best way to play at each level of play. For instance, it is a lot harder for someone of lower skill to ad carry properly with so many tanks running at them. Then is it more effective to run something like double bruiser bot lane in order to get fed and be more effective than their ad carry? What are your thoughts?

If you want to obliterate bot lane then just go Elise/Leona combo. It's ridiculous. Me and a friend are playing it and we are humiliating Platinum 1 players. The damage is just too much at the beginning and it only gets worst the more the game progresses.
Of course if you are playing vs a whole team it might not be as effective, but in solo/duo games it's easy wins.

"The Meta" varies from league to league. And "The Meta" isn't as straightforward and black and white as people often think.
But you can't base the meta on players who don't know what they're doing. For example, you can't say "Double brusiers beats ADC/Support in low elo." It only does when the ADC support don't know how to do the match up. When the bot lane knows the matchup, it's not a hard lane at all. The Meta is based on players who understand how to play the game.

I think what you're describing is what we call "cheese." Cheese works very well against low elo players because they aren't very experienced. Double bruiser bot is a cheesy way to overwhelm inexperienced players. Has nothing to do with skill and has nothing to do with the meta.

I think that being an ADC is hard all around because no matter what rank, a tank can just come and instantly kill you(very fair). If they have two tanks on their team and you have no escape you are done. I think the best combination bot is Volibear and Udyr. Volibear runs into them and flips them and then Udyr stuns and pretty much they are dead. It is the best combination for 2v2s as well. :D

At higher levels of play I could Annie jungle and my team wouldn't care much as long as I was skilled. The meta confirms to the easiest way to leave elo hell for most low level players. If you're able to double bruiser bot effectively at your elo, go for it. Eventually you'll have to change it up once your elos skill cap gets higher though.

The meta is highly effective in every league however you must play the carries of said meta. The meta right now is strong laners or champions with high late game potential. The new masteries have also brought in tanky top laners due to perseverance and that one mastery that gives you free armor and mres for each nearby champion.

For instance, Draven, Jinx, and Lucian are the strongest adcs in bot right now.

    Nasus and Olaf for top.

    Kassadin, Ziggs, Syndra for mid.

    Kha'zix, Vi, Elise for jungle.

    Melee Supports for bot lane.

IMO the problem in low leagues is that even if you follow the meta, there'll always be other people who don't follow the meta and fuck things up. All roles in the meta mesh together and synergize with each other, and if someone else doesn't follow the meta then it won't matter a whole lot whether you do or not. However, if you are that ONE person in a particular game who isn't following the meta I encourage you to do so to raise the entire team's chance of success.

Btw it seems a lot of people have no idea what META is in LoL. Here is the short version:
    Middle - Caster
    Top - Bruiser
Jungle - anyone that can jungle
    Bottom: Ranged AD and Support

Getting a proper setup in low ranked games is almost impossible, but if you can do it it's definitely better than having a team of 2 ranged ad 2 tanks 1 caster with no jungler and support :p
At high level games of course Top and Bot lane often switch, but they still stick to this setup.

Btw in my opinion the best current lanes are as follow:
    Top - Mundo, Nasus, Renekton
Jungler - Olaf, Vi, Kha'zix, Shyvana
Mid - Ziggs(ridiculous champ) Kassadin, LeBlanc, Gragas
Ranged adc - Jinx, Lucian, Caitlyn
    Support - Leona, Thresh, Annie

I don't think that the meta is effective at EVERY rank. I feel like in leagues like bronze, the meta doesn't really matter if you can't even play it properly. If you can't play the meta properly, then why even play it? You may as well pick what you're comfortable at. I think this applies to higher ranks too. Not everyone follows the meta because they might not be good at the champs that are in the current meta, if you understood what I meant there. It's probably better to play your best champion in ranked if you really want to win and climb the ladder.
