Do you think the sub fee is worth it?

So recently, I've heard that the fees will be like $15 a month. I think that's a bit too much for me... I only play this game on and off and not everyday.... I don't know if it's worth or not.

Personally I think no game is worth $15 a month I am sure they will lower the price sooner or later after launch, but as far as it stands I am not buying it no matter how good it may be.

No, it's definitely not worth it. Actually, it's not a question of whether this is worth it or not, but the main concern is, will it strike a chord with the audience? This is what they need to answer. I am afraid the the answer is in negative.

If you enjoy the game then yeah, it's definitely worth it. $15 is nothing for staying entertained for a whole month. I won't be buying it though, simply because I'm against subscription fees: I don't think they should be a part of online gaming and therefore I do not pay for them.

I have to agree with you here. I should hate those who choose to pay for it. I mean, if they are going to enjoy the produce and are enjoy with package, let them be.

Honestly, if you're playing on any console - no, it's really not worth the money. If you're playing on PC, then it's somewhat considerable. I mean, It's going to cost what, 12 euros a month? Like wow, right?

I think it really depends. We could think of $15 a month as a worthwhile investment for a favorite hobby and playing MMORPGs is no exception. However, there is the problem of *which* MMO you should play, and with dozens out there competing in the market, a $15 fee might be something of a disincentive.

For example, The Lord of the Rings Online has massive content available free-to-play and, although it would be difficult, most of the higher expansions could be obtained by grinding in-game. Since there is one great example of an F2P that gives value for money, Bethesda's subscription model might be something of a turn-off.

ESO is going to be a massive game, one of the biggest games around and a $15 fee a month isn't all that big of a deal. If it can keep the servers running and the game from having too many errors, I'll be happy to pay an extra $15 a month. I know a lot of people aren't happy about it, but I think it'll work out in the long run.

I know I've talked about this before. I personally don't thin$15 is worth it. Means everyone has to pay $180 every year just to play this game. I'm sure to some they are thinking that's not much and it's change out of their pocket for them but really..I'm sure there is other games out there like this, if not even better! That are free. These days there is so many games we can play online, that don't cost a thing. Unless you feel like upgrading items/clothes. For most part though, it's free. I think after a while they will lower their price of $15. Because they will see it's not working in their favor when not many people are paying to play it. Just my thought.

I wouldn't pay $15 a month that's to much just to play an online game. If a lot of people stop playing because of there prices then they will most likely lower it. What happens if everyone was to pay $15 a month and the game starts going down, or there are still errors, I would rather just play free games, there are better ones out there tat you don't have to pay so much for. That extra $180 a year could go for many other things.

You do have a point there... EOS is going to be one of the biggest games around, but would you really pay THAT much monthly?

Exactly. This is the main reason why I won't be playing ESO. The only way to voice our opinion (well the only effective way) is with our wallet.

The ESO guys know how to make a game - they made a great Skyrim - ESO is essentially Skyrim for multiplayer - the demand is huge and you KNOW its going to be 3x of last game, otherwise they wouldn't have come out with it. yes, surely it will be f2p after 12 - 18 months, so the sub is like any other premium we pay for cool stuff that we want "now" - if you want the new convertible car now, you will pay full price. if you want the call of duty the first week it comes out, you pay more that you will six weeks after launch.

They didn't make Skyrim. It's Zenimex who is developing this game, not Bethesda. he name is same, not the developers.

Sadly this would be enough to keep me from playing the game. Similar to WoW where you have to pay a monthly fee I just don't think it is worth it over time. If you play a game for 2-3 years paying $15-20 a month you are talking hundreds almost thousand+ dollars to play the game.

With steam and other games providing free downloads (like League of Legends) I'm having a hard time even justifying paying for a game these days, nevertheless a subscription fee. But that's just me I guess.

15 dollars a month for 180$ per year? Obviously it's not worth it. Who in the right mind would pay 180$ for a game yearly, and for something that they won't always be touching every single day?

NO SUBSCRIPTION IS WORTH IT. EVER.
I am NEVER going to touch this game unless it goes Free2Play or Buy2Play. Unfortunate, but my case rests with no fluctuation.

I think the monthly subscription fee for Elder Scrolls online is way worth the price considering how incredible of a game it really is. This game is going to be legendary awesomeness and isn't something you want to miss out on .

Well this game isn't worth it. Not with how crappy it's turned out that's for sure.

Why shouldn't they be a part of online gaming?

It takes money to keep a full time customer and technical support team. It takes a full time development team to keep the bugs and expansions, as well as additions on a continual stream. If you want a professional staff that maintains a professional game, then you need a professional income and not some half-ass free-to-play micro transactions sort of game in which the company does little to address customer support queues and hackers.

You know Guildwars? Yeah, they're free to play, but the support system is self-induced. They keep a skeleton crew of support staff. Then again, that's why the Guildwars franchise is slow to release big updates and quick-turn around bug fixing.

$15/month is an hour pay for the average Joe and Jane. My lunch with a pint of beer costs more than that.

Is ESO worth $15/month? I don't know yet. I'll wait and see how it goes half a year into its release first. If I see that Bethesda makes good on the game as time goes on, then I will subscribe. If they screw it up like SWTOR, then I'll look elsewhere.

I think that subs are a fair and honest way of making sure the game is updated consistently. I prefer sub games myself because none sub games have alot of idiots running around being arsewholes. When something you are paying for is on the line generally people are nicer.
