Do you think there should be more than just the one summoner's rift map?

I don't think there should be. There's already Dominion if you want 5v5 and that's more than enough. New game modes aren't that played if they're not competitive, so I don't think Riot will bother making an alternate 5v5 map.

 

Naw the map isnt the point of the game, its just an overlay. That saying I wouldn't mind if they brought back seasonal reworks for the map they always looked cool and were refreshing.

 

Neither I think there should be more maps to play in 5v5. It's fine like this, I wouldn't change it because new maps implies new strategies and the jungle game would be completely devastated.

 

I think there should be another map but it should only be another map for custom game-modes. Summoners rift should remain the only competitive oriented map available. If another map was used for ranked, professionals would take so long to get used to it and I think other fans would also prefer that.

 

I think what we have is enough, with so much variety in heroes i think having one map is enough to keep us going

 

It might be a little too much already as there are already other games like HoN and Dota with the same format but still I always like it when they beta test new maps, games, characters etc. I play everyday so anything new is welcome (just don't make it permanent).

 

No need for other maps. I am more in favor of different skins for the map - Halloween skin, Christmas skin, Summer skin, etc.
And of course, I think that Riot should focus more on balancing champions and just churning out new ones at a constant rate to keep the champion pool fresh.
New mechanics are always welcome

 

I just want their old promises. Magma chamber anyone? Bilgewater maps anyone? (not just for an event) but actual fullscale maps. So many promises. So many broken promises.

But yeah, I think SR should be allowed to toggle skins though. I miss wintery SR, or halloween SR. They were tight.

Champions? Too many. Stop making them, and rebalance the ones in the 4800 or below tiers please. There's usually no sense to buy the cheap champs when the new champs steam roll them. Make people want to buy champs. Re-do them.

 

I think it would be more interesting to permanently add some of the temporary maps. As we already have a standard and well balanced 5v5 map, this would be a better approach imo.

 

No I don't think so, the fact there is one map makes it that there is less RNG in the game. We can prepare and master the game in that map. And they already tried it with other maps, it didn't work. People only want summoner's rift.

 

I do not think there should be another map . I think there should be more custom variations of the summoner's rift.

 

I don't so much think there should be more maps as much as I think there should be more to do on said maps. The game modes would need to be changed and not the area on which they are played. At the end of the day, a map is just a map, you aren't doing anything differently on it.

Visual change I assume? Don't think that's necessary as that would just add a bigger folder. If you want to change your maps, there are modded ones in the public which you can manually change.

For people with toasters (like me), extra clutter means a world of difference. The S4 visual map update was a godsend for me because it reduced the amount of polygons AND looked better. Meanwhile, the Bilgewater ARAM map gave my toaster a hissy fit. It looked really good, but it inhibited my gameplay. If Riot were to add more custom maps, I'd prefer that they gave us a chance to opt out.

 

Adding more than one map will change the concept of the game in my opinion. There should only be one map that is continually updated every season. Riot has always changed the theme of the maps based off of holidays as well, which is a nice tradition. If people aren't a big fan of the current map they're always free to download custom maps.

 

Unless it's custom games, I don't really care for additional maps. I would rather them expand on the current maps than developing new ones. It sort of dilutes the game in my opinion.

 

That's my point. Not everyone plays games just for the visual aspect. I personally play games for the content and league doesn't need unnecessary visual updates right now.

 

I think you mean having another map besides Summoner's Rift when entering game? Having a pool of maps that the server randomly chooses from for the actual game would be cool. All maps would be the same concept, 3 lanes with towers, inhibitors and the ol' nexus. There would just be more and every game the map is being randomized. This would be a good thing, by me, but it would take a lot of space to store all those maps.
