Do you think we'll see high level players early on: ESO

With any game, you usually get many players who level up like crazy, usually level up fast by playing for hours on end. I've seen it in many games, where people play for days to level up past everyone, do you think we'll see this for ESO? I think so, it happens in every game I play.

I agree. Back when Guild Wars 2 started, I believe there were already players who reached level cap (i.e. level 80) within days. I think there's even at least one player who level to 80 within 2 days, would you believe? So yes, I think it will also be the same for ESO.

I'm not a big fan of power leveling though because it takes enjoyment out of the game. For me, games are meant to simmer: they are meant to be enjoyed to the fullest in whatever play style you choose. This is even more important especially in MMOs where their primary business model is hinged on keeping players interested in the game. There will always be a fraction of the population who power level, but the majority should be able to experience the game in its entirety.

Most defiantly yes some people have a lot of time on their hands and will spend like 10+ hours grinding like crazy I have seen it many times in other mmos so I guarantee you will see it in ESO.

Obviously, some rpg gamers are just crazy like that. And no doubt we will see them in ESO too.

There are always people like this. Grind to a really high level in a short amount of time. There will definitely be players like this on ESO.

I don't see why there wouldn't be, there always are with games MMO/RPG, whatever, its an accomplishment for some people although I wouldn't enjoy grinding away like crazy to hit max level.

There will be always bugs or glitches in the game, for example that some group of mobs will give a lot of xp and have a very low respawn time. Then people take that opportunity to reach the max level.

Some people that have had access to the beta will have planned out there route to reaching the max level cap, and will have stewards to assist them in doing so. It happens in all MMO's, it only takes a few hours for people to reach WoW's new level cap every time it is raised, ESO should be no different in that regard unfortunately.

This will definitely be happening. A lot of people will be wanting to make it to the highest level before everyone else. Many will want to get to the higher level stuff to find out what awaits. I know there are people that will be playing the game for long periods of time, especially in the beginning.

You answered it yourself. There are always people out there with nothing better to do who'll definitely level up much quicker than the others by virtue of playing for hours in a stretch. Happens with every game.

People like this have time and therefor do this. They want to become the best at the game so they do it.

These are the people who become gil farmers and whatever else. Frankly, I can't imagine how it's any fun to burst through a game that quickly, or to that level of input. Taking a break makes the game better -- otherwise the game becomes your job. (And, as mentioned, in the case of gil farmers it totally does.) Luckily, unless it's PVP, I could care less about people zooming past me in levels. Although ... will ESO allow me to avoid PVP? Because otherwise I will just always be dead. Dead dead dead.

Maybe I'll just be an Argonian and live a life under the sea. .... No, I'm sure someone else will already have thought of that.

It honestly depends. Has Bethesda mentioned how their leveling system is going to work? I haven't heard anything about it yet. As someone who has played the GTA V multiplayer, I was well past level 100 within two weeks. People thought I had no life, when in reality, the leveling system was designed poorly (along with the massive amounts of glitches). Some players just find the best ways of leveling up quickly. I'm starting to wonder how similar Elder Scrolls Online is to Skyrim (in terms of leveling). :(

As a side thought, they are just now releasing invites for the Beta. That should hopefully reduce glitches, which evens out the game a bit more. Hopefully Bethesda designed the combat and leveling system in a way that reduces the effects of grinding. I'm sure we will be seeing the high levels pretty quickly though. Regardless, it sounds really fun!

There will be tons of high level people in ESO in a matter of days, just skipping school and activities, nonstop power leveling gets you that.

Power leveling only becomes a problem if high level players can mix in a close proximity with lower level players in an environment that is aimed at pleasing all of them. If you separate them then it shouldn't be a problem. As in Certain areas such as the center of your realm is the area that contains the more difficult challenges.

I have hope that because of the single player games, this type of activity will be much lower in TESO, and that the devs ignore those type of players. It is one of the traps many devs fall into... those type of players rush to endgame, then complain about lack of endgame content.. and then the devs have to develop endgame content rather than widening the game.

I was thinking about this in regards to wow and their new expansion. The devs spend so much time building the leveling zones ina new expansion, and then most players burn through it in a week and then end up doing repetitive crap for 12 months afterwards.

I don't think a lot of people will be rushing to finish the story, but more for grinding purposes and trying to control the market.

Do the stats from the beta get carried over to the full game? If it does then I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a lot of high leveled players early on. Besides that, just like any other MMO there will be players grinding for days without stops.

It is very doubtful they will carry over from beta. I think that would be unheard of in a MMO. About the only thing I have seen happen similar to that was early access ( AOC had it).. but basically that was limited to 3 days headstart for everyone who pre-ordered the game, not really from a beta.

If that's the case then it'll probably take two to three days after release to see some high leveled players roaming around. I hope that they'll not make it too easy to level up or the story too short.
