I just read an article here that announced that a Doctor Who mod is coming for the game for the X-box. Interesting read also. I cannot wait to see what changes have been made and just what all I can build.

X-Box? Surprised that version is even moddable! That's pretty cool though.

Woaaahhh. For the Xbox? That's pretty cool. It's about time that developers showed the consoles some love.

The Xbox version has a surprising amount of DLC and addons that the developers have added to it. While it's not as advanced as the PC or even mobile cousins its still a great way to experience Minecraft for those who have no other ways to play. I have many friends with young children who will swear by the 360 version since its the version they played first. While it's rather limiting if you want custom content or mods for most younger players it is more than enough to satiate their Minecraft experience.

A Dr. Who addon/DLC sounds like lots of fun as long as there are some objects that actually do something and its not just simple decoration. There is so much lore to draw from the Who Universe, no matter which Doctor you go with :p

That sounds cool. I always felt limited in the Xbox version, so I've not played it too terribly much on there. I'm a big fan of Dr Who though, so I guess it's going to be a wait and see kind of thing for me. Hopefully it's really cool, I'd love to make my Xbox world into something. Lord knows it's annoying enough having bought a game on impulse and not playing it. I had no idea it was going to be such a small world. That honestly annoyed me the most, I'm a big fan of exploring and to have it limited like that? I get that the Xbox isn't the best but if the thing can play Skyrim I think it can handle a larger Minecraft world than THAT.

That sounds pretty awesome, I am sure it will be done for PC as well. PC is usually faster with these kinds of things when it comes to mods such as that. But that is good, the xbox needs all the help it can get!

I know there are already some mods on the Pc where you can get weeping angles and darleks. I haven't tried the darlek one, but I have played with weeping angles. Its pretty cool. There just like weeping angles you look away and then look back at them and there like right there. The only problem is that there is only like a 2% chance that they will spawn at least in the version I messed with.

Is it a mod or a DLC? I thought you can't mod a console version of MC, okay maybe you can I don't know anymore.

Oh wow I didn't even know they made mods for consoles. But I would also like to know if this was something people have to pay for or if it is free of charge.

Oh man, I remember like a year ago some guy had created a TARDIS mod for the game that basically could teleport you around the world using command blocks. Although if I remember correctly it took like a ton of setup and you couldn't really just fly wherever you wanted. Oh well maybe someday...

Er Mah Gerd. You just made my day with that announcement. I love Doctor Who and now can't wait for this mod to come out. I may actually play the game all over again if it's a good one. I wonder what it's= going to be like. I usually could care less about mods but I am so down for this one. I hope they put in a way to build a sonic screwdriver. Sounds so awesome.

Yeah I am also wondering how the Xbox version can be modded. Does it require a JTAG/jailbreak, or something of the sort? Sounds like a very cool mod, I am just interested in how it will work.

For an Xbox? That would be awesome that a game on a console can be modded.

You can't mod Minecraft on Xbox, although DLC skin packs have been released that change the feel of the game for Halo, Mass Effect, etc. Anyways, the thought is that Microsoft eventually wants to release mods for all platforms that are originally created on PC. It wouldn't happen for at least a few more months, though, if the rumor is true.

It looks like the Xbox version of Minecraft has a lot of mods to the game, which are considered DLCs I guess. Would be cool if the PC version had this too!

It's a shame it doesn't have one for the PS3. It sounds like something I could really get into.
