Which role do you like the most or see yourself leaning towards most?
Does it matter if you're PvP or in Dungeons ?
Why do you like that role?

I am usually a healer. I enjoy healing in a lot of games. However, recently, I've been reaching for my DPS characters more. I don't know why.
I haven't tanked in a long time so maybe I'd enjoy that as well now.

I play a druid and usually switch between the three depending on my gear. Early in an expansion, I just play DPS because I do a lot of PUGs and I hate needing a decent healer to survive as a tank. Once I outgear content a little, I go bear and tank the quick runs through heroic dungeons and LFR. At the every end of a tier, I go healer for the fast queues and just dps in healer spec.

I have a druid. Balance was fun, but I typically play a Resto. I've not actually tanked on my druid. I have filled in for like five minutes for a dungeon before haha. I don't think that counts.

I play many classes and mostly tend for dps/tank. I would love to play a healer but I cannot stand there and just watch someone else do the dps. I do mainly pvp, of course.

Been mainly going healer in dungeons, no need for thinking, I'll do that if I level with my friends, otherwise I go DPS or healer in PvP, Retri Paladin and Survival Hunter as DPS and Disc priest as healer.

I like being the tank, provided my team mates are doing a good job healing me. Being able to get stuck in it and deal some serious damage while my team is keeping me alive is lots and lots of fun. I see being a healer somewhat like playing support rather than being the main thing.

PvP is definitely more of a constant healing, but you also sit there with CCs and interrupts. I think you'd enjoy it more than you'd think with the right class.

DPS. I hate playing whack a mole with health bars and tanking isn't my thing. Also, I'm like the worst healer ever in the game haha. 3 hours in Heroic Grim Batol trying to heal guildmates got me blacklisted from ever healing again.

Anyone know what healer could be great for pvp'ing? Not in terms of power but of actual gameplay, fun.

I'd have to say druid because of shapeshifting abilities. Back in Cata they took away shapeshifting breaking rooting/cc, but I guess they brought it back because it broke druids too much in PvP. Either way as a druid healer you have a lot of abilities that give you a slight edge such as cat form which gives you a slight speed boost that other healing classes don't really have. Shifting to bear form lets you live longer to get out of tight situations.

The current mobility of resto druids is sickening. As it comes to pvp, they are pretty unbalanced.

Hey hey hey... whack a mole is fun...

I would suggest a resto druid. I mean, who doesn't like being a kitty?
You have the mobility to not get 100% trained... you have displacer beast to get out of some of that.
Some of their healing got nerfed, but it's still fun to play. :)

Eh. Healing's just not it for me, not on WoW anyhow. DPS lets me have fun, healing- not so much. I like playing hybrid DPS because there's a lot to do, which was why I loved Boomies in Cata. I could do really good DPS and take some of the pressure off of healers with tranquility, lifebloom and rejuv. If someone was low I could toss innervate, I could Brez someone that went down and used stampeding roar for raid mobility. If an add was on a healer I could bear form and drag the mofo to me if they were too far from the tanks. (This is just a very tiny amount of stuff that I did all the time because Boomie's complex support abilities gave you endless strategies to use. A good boomkin will know the ins and outs of all their support abilities and use them to the fullest capabilities, which is why it's a very powerful class when played correctly.)

A DPS class with tons of complex use of support is what I thrive on in the game which is why healing by itself doesn't cut it for me. Not knocking it as a whole, WoW's healing play style isn't my kind of play style.

I find resto druid to be grossly overpowered at the moment. I really don't know how you can counter them.

From my experience...you have to silence and interrupt them as much as possible and completely wail on them because stuns, slows and cc's won't work very well thanks to shapeshifting. Even after stunned, they still can go bear form for emergency boost in health/mana regen/extra armor, barkskin, shift to cat + stampeding roar, gtfo + stealth, then heal up in secret. If they get rooted then shifting will break it. You want to catch them before they shift forms and utilize form specific CD's. Warriors are pretty good on the interrupts and wailing part but timing is kind of key. It's easier to double team in BGs to shut a resto down.

I'm not much of a PvPer, but going in regular BGs now and then as Boomie, shapeshifting really makes Druids super slippery. Added with obnoxious dots, starfall spam, shroom boom (back in Cata) from properly stacked stats and utilization of burst CDs- yeah I've had a fun time wrecking through the opposing side.

I can say that being a tank is probably the best experience in dungeon/raid content. People are always in need of tanks, that means you get instantly in any group. It's just fun overall, and you can always roll on OS gear for dps or heal if you feel like having a second set and if nobody else needs it.

In WoW I'm almost always DPS. I just prefer the role compared to healing or tanking. To be honest, I don't enjoy the pressure of either of those roles. Not to say I don't take DPS seriously when I play, but if I mess up rotation during a raid and cast the wrong spell (assuming it isn't an AOE in a bad area or something like that) nobody has to know. But as a healer if I screw up, or as a tank, everyone knows because they're standing in the graveyard lol.

I played as a healer in PvP and both as a DPS and a healer in PvE. The thing I enjoyed most was PvP healing, but since I played Druid it had a loth of depth to it. In PvE I rather DPS because I think most of encouters were designed for them better then for healers. Sometimes there was a fight or two in the raid where healer's actually had something to do but those were very rare.

I've mained a healer since vanilia (can't believe I've played this freaking game this long, albeit on and off). It was the first role I was any good at and I kind of just stuck with it every expansion as my main class, because healers were always needed in pvp and pve. And I hated having to sit out or not good in good groups because there was enough dps anyway.

It would be fun to try and main something else, but I don't really have the time anymore to put energy into learning how to be good at something else. I pretty much just log on to WoW to raid and occasionally 3s.
