Dream Game

A resistance sniper game.
It would be set in a mountainous region and in a city, perhapse during WWII. You would receive orders from London or your local resistance cell, and you would insert in the snow-covered mountains and set up an OP. Along comes a nazi convoy, with the political leader (name like Hermann Schulze). You take the shot, and you are now hunted. The game has taught you some ways of how to escape a chase, and you have to be creative and really think to get away. There needs to be at least 10 different ways of escaping, maybe escaping into neutral Sweden could be one. This chase will last a few missions. You get back home and your resistance leader or maybe a gf has been murdered.

Also urban and saboteur missions, ending off with you being recruited by the British SOE and taking to UK and training for the Telemark mission before heading off and completing it.

Damn I'd love to see a game like that

Finnish winter war? Take some elements from the film "Where Eagles Dare" too.. (mountain assault on impregnable nazi castle) I think a real decent WW2 game is still to be made. Most of them are simple shooting games, enemies spawn and fall over dead. i would like to see one with actual human drama, characters with depth, not hollywood movie stereotypes. A game that showed the horrors and fear of war, not just some explosions and handy placed machine gun nests.

 

dream game? i would love to see another Wolfenstein. Theres still life in the series, but i would make more of both the nazi and occult elements.. make it far darker, more threatening. Theres certainly no shortage of myths to draw on. And if they could throw in "enemy territory" for consoles too, it would be a nice bonus!

 

If we're talking about WWII-themed games then I would love to see a game set in Poland during that time, where we play as a Polish soldier who takes part in the Defensive War and joins the Armia Krajowa resistance movement after Poland falls. He later fights in the Warsaw Uprising and dies in battle. I'm sick of the Western-centric WWII shooters, so it would be a nice change of atmosphere and something that I could relate with on a personal level.

 

Sentiment shared. And actually, I've always wanted to play as a Nazi in a WWII game. In fact, I wrote a whole script for it a great many years ago but never did something with it...

 

I knew immediately what my dream game would be like. It would be Single-player, and it would sometimes be linear, sometimes open-world and sometimes a mix of both. But all along, it would follow one important storyline: The story that I have gone through in Half-Life 2 Roleplay with my characters. In the first half of the game (Perhaps the first game), you'd be Benjamin Soprano. In the second half of the game (or the second game), you'd be Austin Riley. You would also possibly be able to control some other characters in some other situations where Benjamin/Austin isn't directly involved.

There would be a lot of cinematography. I can imagine it would be something like Mass Effect 1 and I Am Alive. It would not be a very popular game nor a very good game, but it would still be my dreamgame. A sort of linear roleplay-shooter. The situation would of course be the Resistance and Citizens versus the Combine and Civil Protection, including all Xen creatures like for example different Headcrabs(Zombies) and Antlions. I'm guessing it would rather be a Mod for Half-life2 if not a standalone game running the Source-engine. The game would be long-lasting and slow-paced like an old movie, but it would also have a decent ammount of action when appropriate, and it would be entertaining as if would slowly but surely take you detailedly all the way through the story of my two/three years of HL2RP-gaming.

Now that would be something.

Ok, my dream game would be remake of Urban Assault, that seamingly little known German Developed game that was a hybrid of FPS and RTS (The first maybe?)

Remade, to what the original game was, but with new graphical Shizmo and sounds, thats it, no bloody change of gameplay apart from maybe better AI and physics xD

But dam that was an assume game.

Oooo, a Remake of Armour Command would also be just pure awesomeness!

 

Well, my dream game would be a completely free roam game and I know this will be impossible but it is after a nuclear apocalypse (Original I know) and you are a group of assassins at the start, set to assassinate a man in Las Vegas. You are stopped, shot by military forces and taken to the Nevada desert to die, you wake up in a village in Nevada full of people and hunt with them and do some stuff but then want to get back to civilisation so you do and from there you have access to most of the world and you fly on planes around the world and you can join the army or the terrorists and there are random encounters or events and I haven't thought of a wider plot, thank you for listening

You're a "caveman" and you basically just have to survive, totally free roam world set on a made up continent with a lot of different conditions i.e snow, forests, deserts. Hunt, scavenge, create (fires, tools, etc.) adapt your character to the environment (clothing, ways of finding food/drink) help out settlements or war for hunting grounds.

Zombie survival horror, kind of like dayZ but with a much better in game atmosphere, it feels like you're fighting for life not just playing a hardcore game of team deathmatch.
Buildings crumble around you (as concrete 'rots' just like wood does after a while) so you have to be careful where you step, food and ammo are scarce, destructible environments, traps,
