    Hello everyone!

I got into ESO about a month and a half ago and the game is quite fun. I can relate to the lore and locations from the games I've played in the past such as Daggerfall, Morrowind and Skyrim. I have taken a look at the stuff one can buy with crowns and so many of the things seem a bit over priced. 2,500 crowns for a mount that looks somewhat generic?

Anyway, what was your reasoning to pay for the subscription and/or Crown packs?

I originally paid for the subscription since I had a small group of my friends that wanted to play together and we were all fans of the series. I however, didn't buy the Crown packs because I saw it as a waste of time and money. A good thing I did that , since I quit after about two months of playing it because of game complications and it not being the game I wanted to busy myself with while waiting for a new Elder Scrolls game.

I kind of wish they had dropped the upfront cost and stuck to a subscription to be honest. I think the upfront cost is a barrier to some folks in trying the game and that a subscription would be a longer term revenue model for the publisher.

I wish they would release the game to be F2P or at least, Buy-To-Play, so I can check it out. I tihnk they would get way more players with a Microtransaction model then this way.

I wish the game was F2P, there are a lot of things that can provide money even if the game is free, probably even more than now.

This game is free to play after you buy it. I'm not sure what you are trying to say. It doesn't have subscription fees. You just pay for the game once.

I was under the impression that the game is still subscription based. It is good to know that it went buy to play at least.

With a good microtransaction model, there are definitely ways to make money off of a game. And I think with a game like ESO, it would be even easier, seeing as it has a pretty big fanbase.
