Esc key not working

    Okay so today while I was playing metro, there was a power cut.
    So when I ran it again, the keys were unbinded, all of them and the graphic settings were scrambled. I went to the menu, reset graphics, and hit default keys. That restored all the keys except when I press Esc in the game, it doesn't pause the game, plus ranger hardcore has been converted into hard difficulty (the ammo is now visible when you pick something,fire,etc).

    I deleted my config file in Username\AppData\Local\4AGames\Metro 2033

    It didn't work. What else do I need to do to restore the game the way it was except just re-installing it? I bet I'm missing some config file somewhere which when deleted the whole game will just reset and the Esc key will start working.
    And if that is the case re-installing ain't gonna fix it.

    In the options where you choose what keys does what, can you choose what button should pause? If so, you should set Esc to pause if you hadn't already. Also, if Esc is somewhy binded to anything else, maybe it'll automaticly be changed to be the pause button if you unbind it from the thing it's already binded to.

    Besides from that, I have no technological intelligence. Try to search around on google, that's what I always do. Doesn't necessarily have to be something related to metro. The same problem can probably show up in any other game as well, and be fixed in the same way as in Metro. Or, you could try restarting your PC, if you haven't already. Yesterday, I finally finished installing Arma2 Operation Arrowhead. When I tried to start it, it came up with two errors and wouldn't start. I used hours to search through the internet and tried loads of different stuff, nothing worked. Then I came to a forum where they said that you just had to restart Steam. So I did, and then it worked. Hours wasted on nothing because I didn't think of something as simple as that :p I hope you get what I mean.

    Lol there is no bind for pause, just the other usual controls

    Started working as of today, just had to add this line :
    bind changemenumap kESCAPE

    in my users/<username>/AppData/Local/4AGames/Metro2033/user.cfg
