What is Retribution?

Retribution is another word for punishment, and that is exactly what we as a guild intend to exact upon our enemies in PvP. We are a PvP focused guild with most focus upon World vs World and the 5v5 matches next. It is important to state, that even though we are a PvP focused guild, then we still intend to do PvE content. By that we mean we seek players who are interested in PvP and not exclusively in PvE.
Our members range from medicore to hardcore players, whereas some have also played the original Guild Wars. We intend to use a voice server, whether it is going to be Ventrilo/Teamspeak or Mumble will be deciding shortly before release. Until then we use the guild website to keep track of guild news, as well as news about Guild Wars 2. Members will also use the website to discuss the various classes, and can share tips and help other guild members improve their play for the better of the guild.

We are though still only humans and that means we all have a life beside Guild Wars 2, and that means we are a guild that respects people having other things to do besides participating.
The founders of the guild and the most of our members have already preordered the game.

Our vision

We want to establish a guild that focuses on World vs World and effectively wishes to fight competitively for our server and ensure victory. By that we do not wish to exclusively seek to kill opponents in World vs World but also act as a tactical guild in a greater perspective. We imagine having scouts to detect enemy movements and to scout ahead of the main group, and assault key strategic targets to further our goal.
That said this is not a ‘zerg’ guild. We pride ourselves to have members becoming better PvP players making sure that we all can fight and stand toe to toe with our foes. Thus making us an even stronger force in numbers. We intend not to give up, should the opponents have the greater numbers. With skilled players we wish to be able to engage a group larger than ourselves and still expect a victory if well played. World vs World is without doubt our greatest vision, but we will also participate in 5v5 competitive matches as well as spend some time doing some PvE content. Under any circumstance we most importantly envision members who have fun participating in our events.

Why choose Retribution?

Retribution is unique, because we really want to focus on World vs World and take PvP to a greater perspective than small rated matches. Joining Retribution would mean joining a mature environment of players who have the same interests in Guild Wars 2, and who wish to fight tactically and with purpose in World vs World and in PvP in general. That said joining Retribution, means joining a guild that has a deeper purpose to PvP as opposed to simple ranked matches for the sake of rating. Being a medicore/hardcore guild means we expect members to be dedicated and by joining Retribution that is what you will get in turn, a dedicated environment. Most importantly we respect your real life, and will not hold it against you if you cannot participate in an event because your wife is giving birth, that is acceptable.

What type of players are we looking for?

We look for mature players who are at least 18 of age. It is simply because we want a more mature environment and more importantly a more mature environment. Players must also be interested in PvP and using teamwork and coordination, as well as voice server in order to effectively fight for Retribution and our server in World vs World.

How do I join?

Register on our webpage and fill out the application form. Within 24 hours someone will review it, and either accept or decline it.
Please remember to answer –all- the questions. If all questions are not answered the application is declined, If the requirements are not met; for instance age; then the application will be declined. If you meet our requirements and seek a guild that has a unique take on World vs World and what else we have to offer, then you’re more than welcome!

Update:

So with the beta weekend coming closer and closer and pretty much all our members have preordered, then we will be seeing eachother at the beta weekend. We will have a voice server avaible for the weekend, so members can get eachother to know which also means this is your chance to join Retribution and learn our members to know much better.
