This is the thread for Fallout.
So, who is your favourite companion.
Mine is dogmeat since its perfect companion for a loner in the wastes plus I like dogs :D

loved dogmeat, though he did constantly get in my way when in cramped environment:/ otherwise I've gotta say sergeant RL-3 was my favv:D the way he disintegrated his enemies and screaming "There's nothing I love more than making some other poor bastard die for his country," made me smile

Finaly someone got around to post here, although it took awhile.
I agree about Dogmeat, he got got in the way and got killed to many times, so I make it a habit to leave him out side when I venture in to action filled areas. Until I just set him as essential :D
Also I loved every robot in FO3 but since I played a good guy I never got to use RL-3.

Yeah I'm usually trying to be a neutral guy mostly(It gets annoying having a bountie on my head after a while:D), but somehow whatever you did you usually ended up with good karma, unless you did something outragesly evil, like wiping out cities and stuff.:p

Dogmeat all the way! Fallout 3 was my favorite of the franchise (yes, I've played 1, 2 and Tactics), and having Dogmeat was the highlight of my travels in the Capital Wastes. He never died with me after Broken Steel because of some bug. I'm hoping they show some stuff for Fallout 4 at this year's E3, I'd be pretty bummed if they didn't.

Yeah, Dogmeat was a good companion, always joining in the toughest fights. :)

I got through New Vegas's Ultimate Edition about two weeks ago, my very first Fallout game, and got the full 1655GS. What a broken piece of shit that game is. Not a single session went smoothly: crashes, bugs, corrupted saves, NPC's turning hostile for no science damn reason... But when it works, it's a great game!

I'm expecting Fallout 3's GOTY sometime next week.

Of course, even the "Ultimate Edition" came with a prompt to download a 16mb patch upon booting up the game. What a fucking joke.

    He looks badass!

  16. I don't think you understand how this works. Nobody in their right mind is going to replace all DVDs in the shops every time there is a patch released.

No shit. When all four DLC add-ons are included on an extra disc for the "Ultimate Edition" (which was announced on november 3 2011 and released this year, about a year and a half after the original retail version of game), wouldn't it make sense to include the patch as well? I highly doubt they're still busy fixing issues for New Vegas today...

Even worse, if that's the case... Either way, the latest patch for xbox 360 was released on July 8th 2011.

  20. DRM and anti-piracy policies are "even worse"? That's nice to know.
