    I'm guessing most of you have already heard about this but nobody has made a thread about it. Three Dog's voice actor has recently said that Three Dog might be returning for another round. This implies that Fallout 4 might be announced sometime soon. It is also said to be set in Boston.

    Are you happy for another instalment? Where would you like to be set? Do you even play Fallout?

    I've heard about this too a few days ago. It's no big news since we knew it was coming (after all, Bethesda did buy the rights for Fallout 3, 4 and 5... then the whole franchise), but it's good to know that we're slowly getting closer to release. However, I'm not too happy about it being set in Boston. I was hoping for some much more different.

    I don't care where it's set as long as:
    -the location is better than the one in Fallout: New Vegas.
    -Bring back weapon crafting
    -Keep weapon mods, Reloading benches etc.
    -The music is more like Fallout 3's
    -The story is better than in NV
    -We get some awesome DLC as usual.
    -We get Hardcore mode again

    I honestly think New Vegas had a decent plot, a much better one compared to Fallout 3. The plot of Fallout 3 was full of holes, and really odd devices that I didn't enjoy. Although I agree that New Vegas' music was awful.

    You know you can craft weapons in New Vegas, right?

    :O NO?! I know I can make things like bottlecap mines and knife spears and shit but they don't even compare to some of the weapons you could make in FO3.

    I have to admit FNV was my first ever Fallout game but some songs I quite liked in New Vegas. There were two I especially liked, I just can't remember them.

    You mean the only two songs the radio stations played or the ambient music? The ambient was from the first two Fallout games... A nice touch of nostalgia if you ask me. The music from Fallout 3 was better in my opinion, both from the radio stations and ambient. Listening to Agatha's station after her quest complemented the wasteland well.

    There were 14 songs played over the radios in New Vegas, all of which we repeated over and over again.

    ^ This is what I want.

    Along with

    -The music is a mix of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas (gotta love Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra)
    -Add in vehicles and an auto garage
    -Multiplayer of any forum (just can't have VATS)

    I disagree with putting vehicles into the game btw, I don't see how it would benefit the game in any way, especially since we have fast travel and the terrain in most areas of the map is too messed up.

    I also don't like the idea of multiplayer, unless they release a multiplayer fallout game on it's own but tbh I think it'd still suck, the combat in fallout isn't exactly multiplayer material, the survival aspect of it will never compare with a game like DayZ for example and the viewing distance is too small which means you won't see anyone til you're right near em.

    Most of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are hillls, so I have to agree with you at that point. But alot of it is also faded paved roads and flat fields. Im not saying we need tanks, but motorcycles and offf road behicles would be perfect for the Fallout canon. Yes you can fast travel, but these off road vehicles would be more for exploration than anything. It would also lean back towards the old Fallout gamed.

    Yes, the combat would suck, if they dont use the Skyrim engine.

    These are just things I want, not need.

    Well, you could drive a car in Fallout 2... so why not return to the good stuff in Fallout 4? If the folks at Bethesda are smart, then they'll look for more inspiration in the original material.
