Fallout Shelter is an iOS game that released in June based on Fallout 4, and it's coming to Android in a few weeks. Has anyone played it yet? I've heard some decent things, and it's a good time waster before Fallout 4 actually releases.

I have played it a bit. it was a lot of fun, and I can't wait until I can play it on my phone. The only downside I have about it is that my tablet is old and not supported. That's not their fault though, it's mine. It just stops letting me access the vaults after a while.

I really want it for Android. It was disappointing when they announced that it was only for iOS.

Good fun, micro-transactions are handled excellently and the only thing that costs money are the lunchboxes that contain additional Vault Dwellers and weapons/armour. Of course, it's totally possible to just earn the lunchboxes by doing the in-game tasks, and the game isn't too bad either, it's really well made. Other than that, you'll probably have fun building your own vault, although it doesn't work too well on anything older than the current generation of tablets/phones as I own an iPad Mini and it barely runs, it should work perfect on newer devices.

Well, the good thing is that it's going to be released on Android soonish. I didn't mind that it was IOS only until I found out that it doesn't run well on my iPad. =(

I heard it is really fun and addicting. Can`t wait for it`s Android release. It kind of plays like Tamagochi of old.

I'm currently unable to play it, because my phone is so old. I'm using a phone that was brand new in 2011. So it's pretty much a dinosaur at this point. I've seen other people playing it though and it looks like it's really fun?

Its not bad for a mobile game, nothing special tough, does not advance the fallout lore in any way. It may be appealing to you as a fallout fan but for the average mobile "gamer" its nothing special. Not a bad game tough, give it a try.

August 13 is the Android release date, right? I think I've got that right.

I've played it a little, off and on. I think it's pretty cool, something to do just to waste a few minutes. I also thought I heard that it was being released this month for Android! So there's some hope for all you Android people :)

I played it a bit, I was alright but I'm waiting for an android release because on my IPad 2nd gen it crashes constantly. From what I played though it looked really good and definitely has some replayability in it.

I got pretty hooked on the game. It was definitely fun and there was nothing to pay for too! nothing forcing you to pay for anything, it was entirely optional which I think is neat. The concept is brilliant, and it exceeded my expectations as the pay to win game I thought of!

This sounds like some exciting news. I am going to go to Google Play store and see if it has been released yet, if so I am going to play it. I have had fun utilizing my Game Fly membership for other versions in the Fall Out system. I think it would be fun to try this version also. I am really falling in love with the Fall Out series.

Like other people here, I'm also unable to play it on any of my devices. I guess they're too old. But the game just plays so slowly even at the very beginning and crashes constantly. I like the idea of Fallout Shelter, but I'll probably just stick to playing FO3 while I wait for FO4 ;)

Came out today on android. Haven't tried it yet, but looking forward to it. I heard that it's basically just your typical managment game with Fallout slapped on, but I won't judge until I've tried it myself. The concept seems pretty interesting, and I hope it hasn't been executed poorly.

EDIT: I also just noticed that apparently you don't have to pay for anything to get the full experience, which is definitely a plus in the age of microtransaction riddled phone games.

The game is fun. The misses installed the update this morning and called shortly after. Some Deathclaws waltzed into her vault and went on a rampage. Hahaha
