What are your favorite arena teams to play? Right now, pvp is extremely comp based, which is not a good thing. However, I still have a great time running Priest-Enh sham-Mage, and Mw monk-War-Hunt. Hopefully, a 90 Paladin will make a few more comps available for me to play with.

To be honest at the moment I think arenas are just a joke. As you said if you don't have a proper setup you should give any hope of going pass 1800 rating, heck even that seems hard to get.
At the moment I'm waiting on a friend to gear up his pally and we will go for holy pala, dk and warrior, but I don't expect to go over 2000(if we even get anywhere close to that lol :p)

I really hope they will do some major changes in arenas in WoD because it's really stupid not to be able to play with your mains with your friends because you get some wierd setup that can't kill a fly lol.

Yea, I think there always will be comps that rise to the top. But half the fun of WoW PVP is playing with friends. So even if you get some weird comp like.. Aflic lock, ret pally, Rsham, you can still be somewhat competitive with it.

I just want Blizz to address some of the PVP concerns at some point. It has been neglected for far too long

Yeah with that setup yes, however for PvP I play with a disc priest and my friends are retri pala and mark hunter lol. I literally can't think of a worst setup than this. Still we somehow are managing to win vs really hard combos and lose vs some shitty combos.
I got my 100 win mount, so to be honest I'm planning on stopping PvP till the expansion comes out or if I do PvP it will be strictly RBG.

On Wotlk, me and my friend had a double dps setup, Warrior and DK.
It was pretty funny, because sometimes we would wreck the other team in less than 20 seconds.

WoTLK was great for arena IMO. Ran RMP into the ground and just had a ton of fun playing it. PVP wasn't great, but you could run a lot more comps at a high level. Random comps as well.

In WotLK I could go from 0 to 2200 in a single day with a DK or Priest. It was ridiculously easy to gain rating then with them. I also remember that I used to play for fun with a friend. We were doing Demo Warlock and Beastmaster Hunter and we were obliterating. I remember 1 arena where we entered and they were 2 warriors, so when I asked who do you want to attack he just said nuke the gnome and that's what I did, but 3-4 seconds later when we had killed it we noticed that they were 2 gnomes and both of us were nuking a different one lol :D

As a mage, and I can't speak for the current comps, because I have no idea, Rogue-Mage-Priest was golden back in TBC and WoTLK, and I generally always either played with a Rogue or Priest, be it in 2v2 or 3v3. For example in Cata I was rolling with Fire/Disc Priest all the way to the 2000s, and it was good enough for me, although after wotlk arenas were more or less ruined, really.

I've always been a fan of warrior warlock druid in 3s, though it really depends on balance at the time. I just find it interesting that the druid has cyclone, the warlock has fear and the warrior has the freedom to do whatever is needed, be it peels or damage. It's just really neat how you can play defensively or aggressively depending on the situation. There's a lot of flexibility with the comp, and it feels like its up to the players to know when to do the right thing.
