Favorite race in WoW

Not just in World of Warcraft, but in role playing games in general, I usually just play a human. Either a warrior (less likely) or a pure mage (more likely), as I want to feel like I AM the character I am playing, and not just some character in a video game. I want to feel immersed with the story, and I honestly can't do that by playing an elf, an orc, or even a female character. I want to feel what the character feels, and I can only do that if I see myself as the character, and since I'm human, I am left with very limited character race choices

 

Like Oursisthefury, I usually pick human too. Not only because is the one that looks cooler to me, because it's just like me, but because of the ability that humans get, removing all cc, it's really good for pvp. But i have a gnome mage too, and I love to play with him as well.

 

In WOW, I play the Tauren, but it was mainly about the classes. When I first started playing WOW, I came mainly from Neverwinter Nights where I was playing a Druid, so starting in WOW, the intro video had the Tauren with that whole nature-type sequence, even though it was technically a shaman, it looked like a druid to me. I knew I wanted to play horde, so at the time, Tauren were the only race that could play druids.

It also helps that I like the starting area the best of all the races. Rolling fields without tree obstructions make it easier when first learning a game. Overall, it just felt like a much more peaceful and tranquil race.

 

I don't know that I have a favorite. I seem to gravitate towards gnomes or worgen. If tauren where alliance I would probably play them as well.

 

The worgen ´sniffles´ drives me nuts. It is like being stuck in a car with someone who has a runny nose. I am usually the type of person who plays games with the sounds on ( I know many people like to listen to music), but when I played a Worgen, I had to turn the sound off.

But that said, they do have the best starting area.
