Since there's many summons in the series, specify which summon(s) you like best. You may include which FF game it is from. As for me, I've always had such a hard time choosing between Shiva and Bahamut. They are about on par for me. Shiva is graceful, beautiful and has always been one of my more powerful (most often used) summons, whereas Bahamut's design is grander and kinda stylish! Furthermore, I absolutely adore dragons, which he does resemble.
I like Neo-Bahamut and the Knights of the round in FF7, those 2 just dish out the punishment, even on monsters like Ruby Weapon and Emerald weapon.
Mine was Yojimbo just for the fact that he looked cool, but the only thing I really couldn’t stand was you had to pay him every time for him to attack, and the fact with the attack Zanmato he could almost 1 hit kill everything accept a few bosses I think
I'm going to have to go with Bahamut. Shiva is beautiful and looks very graceful, but dragons are always top tier for me when it comes to games like this. Thus, Bahamut wins when it comes to a summon I can appreciate in the Final Fantasy series.
Shiva in FF8. Can't say much more, because, what's there tobsay? Her summon was awfully cool (no pun intended)!
I think it would be Phantom Train for me in Final Fantasy VIII. I know he came as a boss in Final Fantasy VI first, but it was then I loved that particular enemy. Hell, I just find the whole sequence to be hilarious (especially when using Sabin against it, haha). I mean, really, a TRAIN? When I got to play VIII then, I'm very glad he's there as a summon. He's not particularly strong; more like Hades's Black Cauldron in VII which deals a lot of status effects, but him being a demon..er..Phantom Train is absolutely cool for me!
