Favorite type of server?

Sounds like you'd probably like my server then I know this sounds like advertising, but my server has a rule against griefing, you don't have to build in plots (although towny is installed so if you want to you can go ahead), and towny is similar enough to factions that you'd probably love it (it's basically a more economy focused version of towny).

 

I would like a server where you don't have to buy plots, but you could reserve them, so that if someone was itching to grief, they could not because the plot that you owned would be protected. This also allows for server organization. One server I used to go on had a system like this. They could then create an interactive map where you could see all of the territory owned.

 

I'm kind of split between vanilla and faction servers. I enjoy vanilla servers because I mainly play unmodded Minecraft single player. Vanilla SMP lets me do what I already do, but I can also enjoy it with other people. But vanilla gets boring after a while, which is where faction servers come in handy. There's just something about joining a group on the server and helping contribute to the goal of making them the best one there. I typically take on a support role, which might mean building the base, or tending the farms, or the like. Things are much more fun with other people.

 

My favourite type of server would be a small, vanilla survival server. Playing with a small group of people is the most interesting to me! Up to 20 people on the server, maximum. This would ensure that there is no griefing, but still enough action on the server to not feel like singleplayer.

 

My favorite type of server is Skyblock. I love building my own generator. I also have task that the server will have and focus on doing what ever it says. It is nice to see how much your land grew from such a small area.

 

I like mini-games type of servers or Prison block. I'm tired of being griefed by other people. So this is the only type of servers I play.

 

I like a normal type of servers, with a anti-grief system.

 

I like Faction servers that aren't extremely laggy, but I also like the servers like PhanaticMC which allow you to play multiple gamemodes.

 

I'll pretty much play any server and love it, whether there's griefing or no griefing, vanilla Minecraft or modded Minecraft. I'm not picky, and I don't have any real preferences.

 

This is going to sound "bromantic" but I love any server that my friends are on as well. In my opinion, servers are only fun if you can play with your friends on them, and of they are there as well, any server will do. Thus I have no personal preference.
