As we all know, the Civilization games have a multitude of different ways to win the game, catering to a wide variety of different play styles. From winning the game by diplomacy to winning the game because of your technological superiority. So I was wondering what everyone's favorite way to win a game of Civ was? Personally, I've always been a fan of domination - It's always been immensely satisfying to take out the other people in the game, but a technological victory is fun as well.
Technological victories are pretty boring for me, whenver I start a campaign I want to dominate all the countries and be the best, that's the fun in the game. That's how I aim to finish my games every time.
I agree that domination is probably the most enjoyable and satisfying way to end out a game, but there's something about a technological victory that I just find super satisfying. Something about watching all of the other Civilizations fighting out while you're preparing to win the game by going to space, I guess. I don't know, it's kind of hard to explain what I get out of it.
Yeah, you feel like the smartest leader out of all of them but the game is pretty boring in that situation. I love it more when I'm fighting.
