What's your weapon of choice for Fallout 3? Personally, it depends on the enemy for me. For anything that's melee, I love the dart gun. Being able to instantly cripple the legs of a deathclaw as it's running towards you really helps. For my own melee attacks, I love the shishkabab. It's wicked fast, AND IT SETS THEM ON FIRE. For regular gun fights, I prefer plasma rifles. It especially helps when you turn someone to glowing green goo, it makes it easier to find the bodies. For big problems, nothing beats the Firelance. This special custom alien blaster makes even the behemoths soil their loins.
Mine is the Guass Rifle, cause it pretty much kills anything with a couple hits and has a sniper scope. Only down side is it has a slow rate of fire. Dart gun is cool too.
I can't tell you how much fun I had with the Fat Man, (if that's the correct name, if not; it's the nuclear launcher thing). But for regular, day-to-day apocalyptic encounters- I'd have to say the Laser Gatling was my best friend. I even used some cheats to get godmode and fried the entire Brotherhood of Steel just for the heck of it once. Damn, Fall out 3 was a kicker back than.
Definitely Fat Man, nothing better than wiping an entire raiding party of raiders to ashes with a single blow!
I like going around knocking people out with brass knuckles, but when I need something with some range I use the Kneecapper a lot.
I am in love with the experimental MIRV. LOL. It shoots about 10 mini nuke at a time and can kill multiple people with one shot. I have a blast with this weapon destroying towns and lives haha. I think there is only one if I am not mistaken, so if you find one don't lose it.
whats that gun that shoots any misc item you pick up? i forget the name but it was extremely cool! nothing like killing a raider with a teddy bear you just picked uP!
In almost every new game in all of the Fallout games, I always make my character a god in Small Arms. I just love the idea of holding a powerful hand gun with a super high Agility, loaded up with as many of the perks I could that improve on that skill, then blow off the head off monsters in one or two hits. Of course, it doesn't always make that critical shot, but the feeling is amazing when it does happen. I always laugh at it too when I can successfully roll a critical hit. With that said, my favorite weapons would be any of the Pistols. So either a Magnum or a Blackhawk. However, I cannot use Pistols against certain enemies. So my next choice would be the Gauss Rifle.
The Fat Man and the Scoped Gauss Rifle from Operation: Anchorage. The Fat Man was a total fun factor in Fallout 3, it was only bad that ammo for it was kind of rare. Once I got my hands on the Scoped Gauss Rifle, I was overpowered in my last playthrough. With a high Energy Weapons skill, you are unstoppable once you get a hold on that thing and use VATS. Nearly a guaranteed hit every time against anything in that game for huge damage.
Fat man. It's basically a nuke that can wipe almost anything. I accidentally blow myself up a lot though.
That happened to me a lot too. The best use for that weapon was when you fight that gigantic supermutant in DC. Epic fight.
I just like the good old laser rifle. I like the gauss rifle too but it's too slow to fire. I especially like the unique version of the laser rifle, it's just very good to use.
My favorite weapon from Fallout 3 has for to be the laser rifle for sure. At one time, for a long time the laser rifle was the only weapon I used. Another weapon that was my favorite was the baseball bat.
For me my most used weapon was the Gauss rifle, but I got to say the M.I.R.V was excellent, just pure destruction...loved it
My go to is the plasma rifle. I love either blowing the head off of the enemy using V.A.T.S. or leaving them in a green puddle. The weapon is extremely satisfying to use, and the sound effects are awesome.
The fat man obviously, I mean it is just so powerful and amazing. It can take down anything from a rad roach all the way to a city! It is so over powering and every time I killed something with it I felt like the god of death.
My favourite weapon is the M.I.R.V, had to go through hell to get, and its worth it for massive crow control, it fires 6 mini nukes at a time, I also like the Tesla Cannon... both great choices and good for dealing massive damage.
