Whats everyones favourite elder scrolls game?

Mines skyrim but it was close to oblivion, yet skyrim has amazing dlc like hearthfire and i like the atmosphere of skyrim better than oblivion.

Mines Skyrim. I've never played Morrowind i'm ashamed to say but I loved Oblivion.

    The reasons I prefer Skyrim:

The AI have much more realistic behavior and look more real.

The world is much more realistic and extremely nice to look at.

The combat, especially magic combat is much better.

Although some of quest lines aren't as good as in Oblivion the quests are much more diverse and I enjoyed exploring the ruins and caves more than in Oblivion.

I especially liked the fact that the Nords and their homeland have a lot of Norse influences. I like Vikings :p

    There's plenty more reasons.

In terms of atmosphere, I doubt Morrowind will ever be beaten; but it is not the best game in the series (though certainly the most hardcore RPG of the 3D titles in the series). Although I love Oblivion and have many good memories from that, I can't deny that Skyrim is the best Elder Scrolls game to date. There is simply too much improvement to ignore it, but the older games still rock. As for the first two, I could never get Arena to run, and Daggerfall, whilst entertaining for a game of its type and time, it has simply aged too much. Also, it is ridiculously hard and nothing in it feels unique, because the environments and the vast majority of NPCs were randomly generated (which explains why the scale of the game is equal to twice the size of Great Britain).

    Skyrim.

Every elder scrolls game gets better, and it's not a franchise that dies over sequels but that it grows. Until elder scrolls mmo comes out then the franchise is shit.

I heard that there's someone working on a multiplayer mod for Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Check this out:

I've seen that one before, but I'm not sure if anyone is still working on it. :(

Thats true, Elder Scrolls just gets better and better, but it will never reach the standards of METRO 2033 (which i believe is the best game around yet) - just my opinion...

I agree with you, Prince. Developers who make open world games tend to cut down on narrative, plot and characters in favour of open-ended gameplay. There's nothing wrong with that (especially when there are games like CoD, where the protagonist is incapable of opening a bloody door by himself), but it's nice to see a mixture of that once in a while. Metro 2033 is probably the best example of that in a linear environment, whilst Red Read Redemption is one for a more sandbox experience.
