Vanilla Minecraft has become a little bit boring for me, so I like to mod my Minecraft. As the title says, my question for you is: what is your favourite mod or modpack? For me personally, I play a mod pack from the FTB Launcher. I have played 3 different packs so far. They are: FTB Unleashed, FTB Monster and the Direwolf20 pack. My favourite out of those three would probably FTB Monster. I like all the mods that this pack has, but if I would have to choose one, it would probably be Applied Energistics. It basically lets you put items into a single system so all your items are very organised. The items will be stored on storage disks. It just makes looking for an item much easier, because instead of looking through all your chests you can type the name of the item you are looking for. The modpacks have more cool mods, some of them implementing automation and an ore doubling mechanic. I basically like all mods that add automation so you don't have to do things yourself.

I actually forgot the name of the mod, but in general I like all mods that offer extra biomes in the game. I remember that there was quite a recent one that added amazing biomes in. The only problem with these mod packs is that they often can make your computer lag a lot, so you need a lot of ram and CPU power.

Which one do you mean? Biomes O' Plenty or ExtraBiomesXL? I also really like them because I like the biomes that they add to your Minecraft game.

I find those mods just boring now that amplified maps and savanas have been added, there's just no point of them in my opinion.

It's not a thing anymore and I can't name many new modpacks because I don't want to get into any more, but I had so much fun on the classic tekkit modpack. Arranging complicated solutions to getting energy and having a few more lines of progression to the game made me spend hours in the modpack. I'd agree that the FTB packs are also lots of fun currently.

I would try Tekkit. It has so many pieces and parts that it really never gets boring.

I've tried so many mods, but I mostly prefer the ones that make the game look better and run a little smoother.

I really like Tekkit, but then again, its the only modpack I've ever tried. I don't really get that deep into Minecraft like a lot of people do, so I don't really get around to playing too many modpacks.

Hexxit is my favourite mod pack. The battle towers and more bows mods are the best in the pack.

I'd say my favorite mod would be Optifine for simply playing in general. But in terms of adding to the game, i think Feed the Beast is pretty cool. There's a lot that you can do with that mod.

Mo's Creatures and Dr Zhark's furniture mods. These are my top favorites. I have 60 different mods installed and everyone is my favorite. Optifine is good too.

I have two favourite modpacks. One of them is Hexxit and the other is a magic based modpack. It has all of the magic mods you could find.

Like you, I think that Vanilla Minecraft is very played out. When I discovered mods, I was watching Youtube videos where people played them. So, naturally I just started adding my own. I started out really in love with magic mods like Thaumcraft and Witchery. Then, I stumbled across the Hermitcraft Modsauce Pack while waiting for another one of their vanilla episodes to be uploaded. Now, I really like tech mods as well. I think the combination of both leads to a lot of fun and extensive gameplay.

I've been messing with a lot of things in 1.7.10, I figured that it was out for about a year so it might have a lot of awesome things made for it, but every time I want to play a heavily modded game, I always find myself going back to Tekkit Classic, because all the mods in it were so carefully chosen and they all worked so well together.

TerraFirmaCraft is a pretty awesome mod to get for and Minecraft lover. It makes the game feel like more a survival game and it has an awesome crafting system.

Yeah that's a really cool mod. I've watched Ethoslab play a series with it.

It's definitely a hard mod, but it's pretty awesome. It has some great survival aspects to it and be prepared for a lot of frustration. Not to mention, a lot of research.

When I was an avid Minecraft player I used to play Feed the Beast and some other minor ones. I also like TerraFirmaCraft, I've been having a lot of fun playing it lately.

I'm not one of those people who keeps changing mods. I've been using Hexxit forever and i thought it's the best out there but i guess I'm biased. I haven't really bothered switching to something else. lol

Hexxit is an OK modpack. I personally don't care for the new tekkit pack, because the mods look like they were just chosen because they were popular, and not because they work well together. For me, the point of a modpack isn't to mess with a bunch of mods that are really popular, I can do that myself. The point is to see some new lesser known mods that work really well with eachother.
