I'm a big time final fantasy fan and when the PS3 came out, everyone expected to see an HD remake. But alas nothing of the sort has happened. Anyways Do you ever think we'll see an HD remake of the classic hit RPG game? I welcome it, but I don't need it. If not FF7, which FF would you want to see remade into an HD remake?
I am part of the crowd that hates this idea with a passion. I like HD remakes to some extent, but remaking everything gets on my nerves. I hated the idea of FF7 getting a remake in HD because it shouldn't need to be remade. Plus I bet we'll end up with a highly upgraded game with upgraded gameplay. I hate when that type of stuff happens and really hope it never happens to FF7. But in all honesty, I think developers should focus on the future rather than the past. Develop new and interesting games. I don't want to revisit classic games on a new console when I can bring out my NES, SNES, N64, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, etc. I know the graphics wont be as great as an HD remake, but oh well, I'd rather play those games the way they were meant to be played. No to an HD remake. Or a remake in general. Maybe they should make better FF games in the future.
I was never a massive fan of this game, and found it quite strange actually. I do however have to admire the storyline to it. I think HD could work for it like most games, but I honestly think it would be better for the series and for the fans if they just made a new game in the FF series.
If enough fans want a HD remake then they should grant them it. What is best for the series is ultimately what is best for the fans. In this case however, I'm not sure there is enough demand for them to consider a HD remake.
I honestly didn't like this game enough to want a remake. why want a remake when we could see a whole nother game in itself? Let's see ff8 not another remake !
Well, I crave for a remake. I didn't enjoy FF7 on the PSX because it had super deformed pixelated character models, a world that lacked detail, and a cheesy dialogue. I know that they would address all of these if a remake was made. I like to see Final Fantasy 7 coated with the visuals of that seen in Advent Children. And don't worry about a new FF. It's coming soon.
Someone made an HD mod to update the graphics of the original FF7. It looks alright. But I guess they prefer making spinoffs like Crisis Core.
I think it's because after they ran the numbers, they realized they would cause a fiscal apocalypse. Everyone in the world would give them too much money (read:all of it), and then money would be worthless. Everyone would be ruined.
I'd actually really like to see Final Fantasy VII remade. I have it downloaded for PS3 but just how old it is and how slow going it is puts me off playing it very often. I'd really like to see the same story and characters just upgraded into maybe even the graphics of FFX.
I think we hear too often that. A game like Final Fantasy 7 should remain as it is without losing its splendor. I've thought about doing a remake that night exactly like the game of 1997. The only difference is the graphics, but the game is exactly the same. Square Enix should do it seriously. I still prefer that focuses on new Final Fantasy than dwell on the past. Cloud has had a lot of history around him .... Now it is the turn of Noctis. (Yes, I'm a real fan of FF15 before even playing)
Hmm....Not necessarily a remake, but porting it to other platforms would be nice. I'd play it again if it will be released on Android platform.
No, Remake. Just update the models, Rerender the backgrounds at a higher resolution and fix up the script a bit and add voice acting and then release it.
I'm really sad to hear that, mostly for the reason that with the younger generation getting more and more turned on by shooters, and so few games with actual story and depth to them, they will never know what its like to experience the games I did back then, if only because the graphics were not of good quality. I say hell yes to a remake, it would be amazing. I know Final Fantasy X and X2 are being remade in HD and I can't wait for it, I can only hope the younger generation will take hold of it and enjoy it. I say bring on the remakes, it can give the younger generation some real gaming quality, and the nostalgia value alone makes it all worth. With games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4, Ninja Turtles, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, all really well made games that got HD facelifts. Sadly I don't think we will ever see a HD release for FF7. One can hope. I also do agree though that they should for sure work harder on the new FF games, the last couple were too linear and the fighting system was crap.
Final Fantasy 7 was a good game, but I would not like to see a sequel I mean X2 was a huge disappointment I think if they did a remake it would also be a disappointment and would most likely feel like a completely different game.
If they do a reamke with THE SAME story that would be awesome. If they change things...Probably it would be horrible xD Recently square enix has released a remake of ff7 for mobiles....A remake of the motorbike minigame when you escape Midgar. That's all since now xS
