I think the game will be awesome. From what I saw from the gameplay trailer, it looks really good. Making it episodic is an interesting choice form the devs part, but I think it will work. Can`t wait until it launches.

The episodic release is kind of questionable, I don't know what to think about it. Hopefully it's gonna be okay, the gameplay seems good.

They added actual voice overs to the characters and the graphics are awesome. I hope they will release it on the PC as well.

That's awesome to hear! I do want to hear some news about PC as well, but I'm sure they're gonna release it for this platform as well.

Never played the original and I've heard good things about it, so I am anxiously waiting for the remake to come out. That said, I'd rather have normal than episodic release.

You could try and play the original, so that you can compare the remake to it. It is a really good game and fun to play even today, although the graphics are dated for sure.

Eh, I neither have the game nor the PSX any more. I'll just wait for this release.

Honestly I'm not all enthused about it. Whether it's because all the original teams that made the iconic FF games have moved on or what...but Enix can't get it together with their newer Final Fantasy stuff. The only exception at this point is probably FF14- it's like they put their best on that and KH. I have a gut feeling that the episodic 7 remake will be a flop.

I'm not looking forward to the game being episodic to me. I think they should make a full game and have expansion DLC added to fill it out. We wouldn't want it to have the same fate as Half Life when they decided to go down that same route, now do we?

Hmmm... I'm not too sure what to think about this. Maybe if they make each episode correspond to each disk of the original, I would be okay with it. I would still prefer having the full game released. At least Square Enix has started to turn themselves around with relatively good releases.
