I felt like I was going to have an orgasm. I also watched Sony E3 presentation as well and when they said they were going to do a remake, I accidental spilled my cup of hot coffee on myself . I was jumping up and down on the couch out of sheer joy.
I don't really care much yet but it's pretty nice that it got announced. Kinda wonder how much different it will be from the original though, since they keep mentioning that it will be a "reimagining" and not a straight-up remake...
Same, I jut lost my enthusiasm after making requests to them on their official sites for years. I'm glad that people who really wanted it can finally have their wish granted, but I'm on the fence about it. Hopefully it will live up to the hype, but I'm not going to run out my house in my pajamas to get it as soon as it comes in the store.
Honestly, I went all white girl and kept shouting "oh my god!" while I was watching this with my SO. I learned to love the Final Fantasy series because of FF7 and I am so happy that they decided to remake this! My only concern is will they add or take away anything from FF7? I really wish they could stick to the core gameplay and overall experience of FF7.
They announced that combat will be different. I really hope that it's not so different that it loses some of it's originality from 7. The combat in that game is so addicting, it's what brought me back to the game after beating it 5-6 years ago.
I agree with this. I love the combat in FF7, so I hope the changes aren't too drastic. I understand if they want to update and modernize some of the mechanics and systems, but a complete change of the battle system, in to something like an action RPG would highly disappoint me.
About time honestly. They've been so adamant against it but to be honest everyone would throw money at them for it. The plot, dialogue, and foundation is there so all that's left is graphic facelift, musical score facelift with orchestral soundtrack, prolly some gameplay tweaking (hopefully not super radical) and it's good to go.
I was surprised when they announced this on E3. I really liked the game even though I haven't played it. I only watched it when my sisters are playing because I'm too young to play this kind of game at that time (I was around 7 years old at that time). Me and my sisters can't wait to play this game.
I watched E3 hoping for a Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer. I got a bloody FF VII remake one instead AND a KH 3 trailer too! I honestly did not expect them to ever actually do this after all those years of begging from the fans. Whatever Square Enix does, I am sure it will still have the spirit of the original game we've all played.
