First playthrough difficulty?

Ranger hardcore

 

I will be playing in ranger mode first. Ranger easy was always my favorite difficulty and it seems that will be closest to it. Although the idea of my first playthrough having absolutely no hud at all does appeal to me i will wait untill my second or perhaps even third to experience that.

Also in ranger mode you get extra rounds and a gun to start with, so that may help a bit when it comes to ammo, but i dont think stuff will be to hidden like that. You should be ok for ammo if you look around alot and arent spraying like a madman.

 

I think I wanna start with easy just like I did in Metro2033..... I don't like too much of a challenge xD

 

Play on Normal difficulty (not easy) to get all the achievements, collections etc out of the way as it gives you somewhat of a challenge. Then go Ranger Hardcore. Well that is what I'm doing.

 

ranger hardcore, even my first play through of 2033 was ranger easy.

 

Ranger Hardcore was actually the easiest for me in M2033, because I didn't have to focus on the HUD and it somehow simplified it. Also, extra bullet damage is awesome

 

That was my reasoning aswell

 

me to. loved having no hud.

 

I think Im going on Ranger Easy. Now when I know more of how the game works it'll make it easier to play

 

Ranger Hardcore. Never looked back when it got added to 2033.

 

I'll probably start off with easy or normal, make sure I can get all the story and find all the goodies without dying a whole bunch, then I'll most likely play Ranger Hardcore. Just like I did in 2033, and pretty much every other game I play

 

just because you play ranger dose not mean you die a whole lot. it just adds realism.

 

Oh trust me, I die a whole lot . it took me a good while to beat 2033 on Ranger Hardcore. But yes the realism is much better.

 

I'm concidering to play Last Light in Ranger Hardcore, because I'm now for the first time playing Ranger Hardcore in Metro2033, and it's pretty damn awesome. I don't die a whole lot, but I have the feeling that that is because I'm only in the beginning of the game, and I've played the game four times before so I know every creak and corner, I even know where the NPCs are and are not

 

D6 and the slime balls are were I die most.

 

And I thought I was the only one.

and miller no longer being invincible, seriously any other time would have been great and more challenging, but right there?:rant: no.:tsk:

 

Ranger for me, all of these gameplay vids make it look a lot easier on the normal difficulties. I simply can't play 2033 without Ranger mode now as it truly makes the game for me.

 

Ranger Easy would have been normal but it does look too easy and those hitmarkers and large icons to grab ammo turn off lightbulbs look annoying to me.
