    Can anyone make any recommendations of either pc or other consul games that are similar to LoL?

    Have you tried giving Dota 2 a go. It's similar ot LOL and have a really engaging and huge community too.

    Yeah, DOTA 2 happens to be a great game. I have a friend who is like totally a DOTA 2 freak and he's quite good at it actually. Plus it's made by Valve, how can they go wrong?

    Okay, so kind of embarrassing but II just learned yesterday that LoL is based off of/taken from DOTA in some senses >.< That said, I'll check it out, thanks guys!

    Dota and HoN are the most famous ones, with dota being the most famous. LoL is the easy dota I would say, the skill cap is lower because it was made for casuals to play an easy and fast paced game, that's why it has the lead as far as gamers population goes.

    Yes, I concur. LOL is basically the easy version of Dota. If you are considering playing Dota 2, start with LoL. It would help you get the feel of the RTS genre. There are some badass players out there. Beware of them.

    I would advise against the road of playing LoL before Dota, you gonna learn things the wrong way, and you gonna have to drop habits that you had from lol, forget and relearn everything from scratch. Just dive into a new game ultra-newb style, and see how it works out for you.

    LoL is much better than Dota, for me Dota has pretty poor graphics compared to LoL and the same kind of setup really not much difference, I can't actually think of any others similar to it apart from Dota.

    I'm really surprised that noone mentioned Smite yet. It's another MOBA game, it shares the same game aspects with DotA and LoL, but its the camera angle that differentiates it from the rest. Instead of the usual top-down RTS view, it uses an in-action third person view.

    Simte is a MOBA game which is no similar to LoL or Dota for that matter. It's really different than Smite.

    The more obvious one is what other people have been saying, which is Dota 2. There is also a game from EA called Dawngate which is somewhat similar. It has a very similar feel with different map mechanics. If you like LoL I would recommend you check it out.

    If you haven't already, you can download Warcraft 3 and play the original DOTA map. There are still plenty of competitive players online all the time.
