Has anyone played Gangplank lately? I just bought the champion and just beginning to learn how to play with it, any tips and tricks you can share with me on how I can play better using Gangplank?

I haven't really played him if at all since the rework but I've played against him a lot and I've seen streamers play him so I know a good amount. Right now I think it's better to build him as a bruiser since you'll still do a lot of damage and take longer to die. Learn the timing of your barrels to maximize their use and wipe out the whole enemy team before they can even react. He's a fun guy to play and really rewarding if you are aware of your surroundings.

I think I get what you mean, but by bruiser do you mean building him all tank all the way? I still get it that he would still do an amount of damage if he would be built that way. And about the being aware with the surrounding, I would say I really suck on that part. Which is why I do not play carry or jungle at all.

Nah, don't build him tank all the way, get like 1 or 2 tank items to make him durable. Be aware of your surroundings so you can ult when needed to help out your teammates or secure a kill. His ult became really strong after the rework so might as well maximize it's usage.

His ult really helps a lot on team fights since you can cast it anywhere on the map. I get that assist bonus every time LOL! I will try building him that way, what item build do you do on Gangplank BTW?

Currently I go for anything with lethality as it really broken right now. When I get to that point where I'm doing 3/4 of the enemies health with one barrel, I start building tankier items.

I have tried doing this, but I alwys die a lot whenever I play Gangplank. Maybe I just need a lot of practice or I'm just capable of playing ranged champs than melee type. I can play melee champs only if they are tanky like Malphite and Garen, I can't even play Lee Sin or Tryndamere. But I can play Teemo, Veigar, Fiddlesticks and Sivir quite well.

The more you play him the more you'll understand him. That's pretty much the jist for each champion. Also, ranged champions are just generally easier to play so don't worry.

Thanks a lot for the tip, I might play a lot of Gangplank later. I see a lot of players who play Gangplank and they can do it with a breeze. I might really need a lot of practice.

Honestly, I haven't been playing Gangplank lately since I don't want to ruin the fun for other players. I just practice with bots as of now. I've been playing a lot of Dr. Mundo and Malphite lately LOL! thanks for the tips!

With the new Practice Tool you should practice how to chain barrels properly on Gangplank, that's the most important thing on him and you need to be quick. If you can't do this vital combo, you will pretty much be useless since your Q and R can't compensate for that much.

I think we din't have the practice tool yet. It would be better if we would have it here since I don't really like playing with bots just to check out how the champion works.

What do you mean you don't have it? What server do you play on? Also I think it's only available on the new client.

We do, but it's only available on the new client so make sure you update in order to use it. I've tested a lot of combos on difficult champions like Lee Sin or Yasuo and it works flawlessly. I'm impressed by the quality.

You can see what server you are in when you are at the log in interface. I thought all servers had it but I guess I am wrong.

I'm using Garena client, I think the beta version in the client has it but I haven't downloaded it yet. It's a bit big for me and it would take me hours to download it since it's around 5GB I think. We have turtle speed connection so I would just probably stick to what I have in the client right now.

I do believe it's a whole lot different. there are tons of kids playing who just troll around. Well it's not the same with DoTA2 where you can still win a game even if one of your team mates feed the enemy team. I have seen some trolls playing ion other servers but I do think we have the craziest bunch of them LOL!
