I am unabashedly in love with the addition of garrisons to the game, and I've heard nothing but good things about them from players. I'm wondering are they an overwhelmingly smash hit, or are there some naysayers out there that aren't a fan of them?

I will admit I got spoiled in the beta when I could just auto-upgrade my garrison and build anything I wanted (that was pretty sweet), and now I'll have to do the longer slog of slowly upgrading it with time.

So, do you love them or hate them, and why?

I mostly enjoy garrisons, and I feel like most players in the community feel the same way. They're a good addition rather than a bad one.

I feel like Garrisons are a good edition to the game. I have been a largely on/off WoW player since 2006, just recently getting back into the game, and I have to say I love this addition. Beforehand, WoW was a game about your character, and the entire game play was focused around improving your character alone, or maybe your guild. The Garrison gives you something greater to fight for, and a sense of responsibility over your own personal town that you can protect, build, and interact with. Not only this, but the Garrison offers a central quest hub that can help old players such as myself to get back into this new patch by reintroducing old game concepts and not having us have the need to look around an entire continent just to find a level-appropriate questing area.

They are a nice addition to the game and keep you looking forward to logging in. It is cool to send followers out for an 8 hr adventure, then go to sleep and wake up and get their rewards.

Some things could be better. I think the whole trait thing is al ittle to obvious.. no real thinking involved.

They're pretty interesting so far, I'm trying to get a hang of them and read up on guides on what NPCs and buildings will benefit my playstyle. I think that WoW should have implemented them earlier but I guess later is better than never. I like the fact that I have a little personal hub and it's something that WoW needed because players like personalizing their characters and stuff.
