hail im vapera, new to the forums
the concept of a multiplayer got me excited alot.
    id like to see

    Ranking system
    Unlockables
    Equipment

No, im not asking for the next call of duty.
im just asking for a decent multiplayer which i can play for a while. The game doesnt have to perfect or have a huge fan base either.
Now i was a big fan of bioshock 2 multiplayer which was a rather overlooked part of the game, it was laggy, glitchy, prone to hackers, small fanbase at the time. Yet i loved it...
Metro last light multiplayer can be like that aswell.
    Factions
    Rangers
    Spetsnaz
    Freikorps (or anything similar)

    Unlockables
    emblems, titles, etc.
progressive system with either xp or bullets
    unlock weapons, buy weapons&attachments
    possible introduction of mutants?

it could be almost a alien vs predator theme going on
    maybe perks?
    sleight of pump?

    equipment?
    night vision goggles
    armor
    bandoliers
light weight for those who prefer agility

    Tell me what you think
    feel free to add more

Wow, lots of info there! :) Yes, I think multiplayer could work, especially if it was something similar to Left 4 Dead survival/versus (mutant vs human). I'm just going to wait and see. I'm sure they won't fail us!

I think it'll be great, as long as they do it right. Deathmatch is dime-a-dozen, but something unique is gold.

If 4A manage to implement a decent co-op/competive multiplayer system, metro would be unstoppable.

Yeah, Metro: Last Light, would be a heavy hitter. Even if it wasn't, it would most certainly not be underrated.

I just hope it doesnt become to focused on multiplayer like CoD that the game is all about action and explosions and the campaign is just another word for tutorial on how to play online.

As long as it doesn't shorten or worsen the singleplayer, I'd love to see some multiplayer for Metro: Last Light like that.

    What about this Idea?

What about a multiplayer where you can just go exploring the metro and moscow with your friends and do quests given by citizens of the metro and they will give you military grade ammo for your work and you can buy guns, ammo and supplies at shops (like in the original game). You could also just put your gas mask on and go exploring moscow scavenging from dead bodies and stalker stashes.

If there's going to be a multi-player, which could be a bad thing, then I think that the equipment that you get should be determined by how you played the campaign. I don't like those rank-based unlockable systems, but I wouldn't have a problem that reflected how you acted in the Metro.

It annoys me when I hear people say that they never play the campaigns of games and don't intend to because they only like the multi-player. If you have to re-play the campaign to get different weapons it would ensure against that.

One of the questions I asked the 4A team was exactly that. In COD WAW as an example collecting death cards in campaign gave you special "cheats" which could be used in Co-op or private matches. So this is an incentive to play campaign in order to have an advantage in multiplayer.

I think Gears of War had something similar with a mutation system, but I don't know how that worked exactly.
