Good broken games

    Bit of an oxymoron there but there have been some good broken games, metro 2033 for example was good but it had some problems, AI with the ability to know exactly where you are and (lot's of hate coming) a broken stealth mechanic in some ways. Another game I think is like this is Far Cry 2, it had some problems, god it did, the checkpoints for one and the lack of civilians and things like that but beneath this stuff, it was a really well thought out game, the graphics were good for the time, degrading weaponry, hand held map and other really interactive stuff which I think Far Cry 3 missed out on a bit, it stripped away far cry 2 much in some ways such as the degrading guns and handheld map, so any other games you can think of like this?

    Dunno if it really counts but I guess BF3 (multiplayer) kinda fits.

    It's glitchy as hell, shitty community, being able to rent servers was the worst idea ever as you basically never find a good one now (hard to find DICE servers), DICE and EA are dicks and the suppression system got nerfed to the point where it's basically non-existant but it's still a fun game to play regardless of all that.

    Sonic Heroes

    Great Sonic game, but the dumb controls and camera ruin the experience, not to mention Sonic's famous "Just keep the controls pressed forward" moments with stupid placement that always manage to make you fall to your doom.

    Rage! I'm playing it right now and while it's a fantastic experience and i'm loving ID's vision of a world gone wrong and the absolutely amazing engineering/shooting mechanics, the game suffers from a poor story,tide environments (although the game gives a feeling of a open world it's so linear it almost makes me...rage :D ),low quality textures and texture pop-up even on high-end machines and one of the worst game endings in video game history.
    Other than that it's everything i've always wanted from a post-apocalyptic shooter.

    Have to say, End war. While the game was awesome in its own way, I think it could have had more story to it than just 'conquer the world for your chosen faction.'

    My reason why dishounored was a good but broken game does not lie in its mechanics but rather in its story.

    story spoilers below

    the karma system of wether it decides if your for da evilz is compleatly and utterly flawed for it does not take into equation the smaller details such as the loyalists

    the loyalists- if you kill everything at all times with no regard then they would have a case to hate you but if you are the shining force of good why would they scream "you bad" they would embrace you to lead the police forces not try and kill you

    I'm not sure if it's just one or two games, but I honestly think NFS is going from bad to worse every year.

    Not much changes and it just feels that it's always the same every year, somehow it does.

    It'd be cool if they would bring some of the old night free riding, tuning, streets challenging, editing and some things that basically made people love NFS, but I guess we won't see that coming... I'm more interested into "the crew" now.

    Alone In The Dark (2008)

    I really likes that game even if it's completely broken. If it's somehow can pull you inside like me then you gonna enjoy the game. It's main problems are the followings:
    - Sluggish Controls.
    - Average or sometimes bad voice action.
    - Frustrating Enemies.
    - So short (but it's can be a pro if you gotten enough of it's silly things).
    - Two of the worst endings ever.

    I know about this franchise since 1998, the first three games were in a disc from a friend. Good old pre-Internet era pirated versions.

    With all of it's faults, I only can advise the game to give it at least a try. For PC players, controller is a MUST! PC controls are not just terrible, it's one of the worst ports ever.

    I love that franchise and it's sad to see it dies.
