Hey guys I quickly went over the forums for a similar thread and found some that were more specific on guns or locations.
So this is a general thread for any and all IDEAS FOR LAST LIGHT.

My list:
More Shadows (mainly on arytom) I noticed in Metro that artyom does NOT have a dynamic shadow or much of a shadow at all. Many "lights" in the game do not project shadows from any character at all. But artyom NEVER has a dynamic shadow. Look at 1:40-2:00 HERE and you can see artyom has no shadow but the lurkers do.

Moving bodies. I would like to be able to move bodies around to hide them from patrols and such :). Could add a good element to stealth.

On-the-fly weapon attachments- like a silencer you can remove or attach on the go. Like the Crysis weapon modification system. No more having to buy a whole new weapon to get a new mod.

I agree with on-the-fly weapon attachments, and I've been pushing for it for quite some time.

I think 4A is going to do it, they certainly have the capability. It would really mess up the market system they had in M2033 though, instead of buying weapons you'd have to buy basic weapons, and THEN silencers, and THEN a scope, etc etc.

Yeah but if you had to buy attachments for weapons the market dealer would be very full. Revolver silencer. Bastard silencer. AK silencer/bayonets/scopes etc... I think it would be more complicated than meets the eye.

I'd like them to add artyoms body, so you could see his leg and torso when looking down instead of just being a pair of floating arms.

Imo its less complicated then the current system that forces you to buy a WHOLE NEW WEAPON each time you want to swap out a modification.

Also think of it this way- Pistol silencer(for all pistols), Assault rifle silencer/bayonet(for bastard+AK). So on and so forth. Quite simple.

While I would love to have detachable customizations for our weapons, for some reason I feel like it could take away from the gritty feel of the game. Half of the strategy in Metro was making do with the weapons you had, even when they were the wrong ones. Plus, think about the Bastard, the gun is a piece of shit, how would they manage to add a removable silencer without it falling off when it's firing? Actually, it would be pretty neat if you had a removable silencer for it, you had to tighten it after every time you fire it, since it would probably become loose, wobbly, or fall off.

In an interview, Huw Beynon said that wouldn't be happening.

Ya very disappointed when I saw that. Keeping my hopes high for a dynamic shadow from Artyom tho!

Their engine should be able to handle dynamic shadowing for Artyom. Have you checked the demos to see if there were shadows?

checked and saw they make only some light sources give shadows. Like for example artyom's headlamp does NOT project shadows when pointed at Pavel or anything in the environment. I noticed the sun is giving shadows tho.

Weird. Maybe that's something to put in the "Ask the devs" thread!
