Anybody here run a guild in WoW? Do any of you use guild management addons? I use one that is set to kick inactive toons after a certain amount of time. I of course exempted alts and certain ranks, but auto-kick the rest if they don't log in. It was hilarious to see people poop themselves in guild chat today when my addon kicked 28 toons simultaneously. It is configured to announce what it is doing and why in chat, but that got scrolled by all the yellow kick spam.

That tool is definitely useful for any guild owner. It was a long time coming.

I've never managed a guild, but that addon is really good. My friend had a guild and he also told me about it, it's awesome because you'll save a lot of time with it.

It probably isn't the same one. There are several that do it.

Yeah, I used this add-on a long time ago back when there was guild leveling, About two months before that, I used one of those annoying guild invite addons to get to max.

Once I did that initial round of kicking, there wasn´t much in the need of guild management that I needed. The calendar ingame is pretty robust if you learn how to use it.

I make extensive use of the calendar. Surprisingly I seem to have to train new members to use it. Not sure why.

Probably because outside of guilds, it serves very little purpose other than checking on upcoming holidays. And most guilds do not have guild events, and many of those that do don´t have a guildmaster that knows how to use it.

I was with a group that created an entire out of game system to do exactly what the calendar did.

Some guilds made those systems before the calendar was implemented in the way it is now. I was always to lazy to do something like that outside of game.

Guild websites for sign ups or even guild applications turned out to be more hassle then they wore worth. Turn over didn't help either.
