Gun Customization

It's not that surprising because such features have been implemented in other games, but it's an incredible addition to the Fallout series, for sure.

 

I'm going to customize the hell out of my guns because, why not?

 

Gun customization is going to be absolutely insane, from what I've seen. It looked like in the trailer they showed a flash of someone turning a laser pistol into a sniper rifle? It's going to be awesome. I think that in a post-apocalyptic setting, it makes sense for people to fashion crazy weapons out of parts. That was probably the biggest issue I had with FO3/FO:NV. I'm excited.

 

This will be very fun, and time consuming. Oh the hours consumed tweaking the perfect setup

 

It's going to be tons of fune for sure. Imagine the custom weapon part mods we will be getting, there will surely be room for some ridiculous customizations!

 

This feature is completely insane!! I'm sooo hyped about it, I know is gonna take me hours of hours just to get the gun I want, (armor too) but I really don't care, the feature is so cool and it will allow you to be more creative with your gaming (if you don't use a guide)

 

I love that we can customize a lot of the things in the game, mostly everything. Since you carry guns with you everytime I think it's only natural, you should be able to make them personal.

 

This does sound pretty neat. I love the idea that I can customize my weapons to suit my preferences.

I hope that they give you freedom to create silly weapons, too. Sure, I want to have the most deadly and awe-inspiring gun around - but if I could have a rocket launcher that used canned meat or evil teddy bears as bullets, I would laugh my head off. I wouldn't want the guns to be quite so silly or crazy right off the bat, but over time, this could make the game more entertaining.

 

It seems cool. I've never tried to customize weapons in the older games, but I definitely will this time.

 

I can't wait to see how it works, are you going to have to get schematics or are you going to be able to have the right perk to just do whatever you want with the right parts. They say you're going to be able to take break down items into all the different parts. It's going to be crazy the depth of customization you're going to be able to get into.

 

I LOVE THAT IT'S THERE. I'm going to make the most epic and the dumbest, gimmicky guns in existence. I will wreck havoc with this feature.

 

The trailer and leaked bits I have seen of the customization system are amazing. And with the recently released Pip-Boy app, you can see that a marked statistic is how much scrap metal you have collected. Pretty safe to say with the weapon smithing perk you'll be able to convert scrap metal into gun mods.

 

Watching the fast-forwarding pace of customization at the unveiling event at E3 really got me amped.. just watching so many damn customizations... yikes.

 

I feel like that video showed a lot of 'less than optimal' customizations for the sake of showing off. When it gets down to it, I'm sure there will be a very common list of mods you use for certain weapons. For instance, a 10x Zoom scope isn't going on a Magnum for most people; you'd completely ignore that mod while messing with your pistol. That is my understanding, anyway, but I'm a min-maxer at heart.

 

Well of course there are going to be mods that are better on certain weapons than on others, but it's cool that they give you the option anyways.

 

Looks cool. While many games have gun customization as a feature, I don't know of any other game that implements it in this way. Will be trying it out for sure.

 

I think the fact that they took weapon customization to this level is extremely cool. I always like having tons of customization options, and if they now allow me to customize my Gauss Rifle to make it even more powerful, all the better.

 

I love that the guns look like they belong in this world. Handmade from scraps. It helps with the immersion.
