I've never bought any of the previous halo's but played 3 and 4 has caught my eye.
Any other xbox fans planning on getting it?

CE was fun.

Halo 2 - not so much. I liked how they released in on PC three years after XBox with the DX10 only system requirement and then became very vocal about how nobody buys it.

Like Komodo said, CE was great, I loved Halo 2, and for me Halo 3 was "meh". The fourth installment looks a little weird, but maybe it'll be great. Who knows. I most likely won't have an Xbox at that point.
