Has anyone played Path Of Exile?

It's f2p on Steam, and it's pretty good in my opinion. It plays a lot like Diablo, and it's pretty fun. Really easy to lose a few hours in it. Then again you could say that about any MMO ;)
If you haven't played it you should give it a try, it's had a lot of good reviews.

I have it was a good knockoff of Diablo 3, but I have not played it, but I have heard mixed things about the game, but I think it's worth a try I mean it is F2P so what do you have to lose. Only reason why I have not tried it is because I am playing other games at the moment.

it's really good! It's everything Diablo 3 wanted to be, but better because it's free, and, well, just better in general. Do you have Steam?

I actually just downloaded this game today, and came here to see if anyone was talking about it. I'm enjoying it so far, I enjoy the customization and the way you can choose where to go with your skill tree. It's a little hard to get into at first, there's no tutorial or instructions anywhere so you just have to figure out how everything works.
compared to Diablo 3, I'd say Diablo has much better graphics, and a much better story so far at least, but the gameplay is just as fun, and there's no Auction House to make your item drops worthless (although they are indeed removing this from D3).
I love that it's free, though.

Yeah, I was pretty confused for about half an hour or so, but once you figure out how to play it's really great. I'm probably like halfway through the second act right now I think. Have you beat the first boss yet? She's so hard if you don't know that she spawns a bunch of those little squid guys after you "kill" her. What character build are you using?

Yes I have played it on and off for around a year. It's an absolutely amazing game! I haven't played Diablo enough to compare it but I can safely say that Path of Exile is spectacular.
They constantly add new features, the gem mechanic is awesome and my favorite thing has to be the currency. Using all kinds of orbs that can manipulate items is a great currency and quite fun to use. I strongly encourage everyone to pick it up and try it, even if you don't have a particular interest in such games.
I was thinking of making a suggestion here to open a PoE subforum.

I played it a bit, as I've heard great things about it such as huge number of possibilites to grow your skill tree. But it seems that it's not balanced at all, every good comination (3-4 for each class) has already been published on non-official forums, etc... What is the point of many options to choose from if characters won't be balanced at all?

Path of Exile is amazing. Like DepecheChode said, it's everything Diablo 3 should have been. The unique currency system really sets it apart from similar MMOs. Additionally, it's pretty easy to play solo if you prefer that, which is a huge plus.

Generally I play solo, but I found the multiplayer was pretty decent as well. I haven't played any of the challenge maps though.

Personally, I play almost exclusively solo, but I will join a group party to farm exp if I need too. I've never had a negative experience with players in public parties, people are usually quite helpful.

I really looks like a lot of people like this game. I will look into this game to see if it is really that great.
Is it free or do I have to buy it somewhere?

Path of Exile is totally free! The game is supported by cosmetic in game purchases (stuff that changes the appearance of your character) so you never have to buy anything to actually be good. You can download it on Steam or pathofexile.com!

PoE caters to the Diablo 2 players that didn't really like Diablo 3. I think the game is very well made for a free to play game and I actually like it better than Diablo 2.

PoE is totally free and it's not like one of those pay to win games. You just have to install steam and then you can play it.

Thanks for the recommendation, I quite like the look of it so far.
