Just recently with the new Minecraft 1.8 update I decided I wanted to play minecraft again and I stumbled upon this forum and it seems like a bunch of nice folks! Before this update I hadn't played minecraft in a few months or so as everything seemed stale and boring to play but with the recent update I started playing it again and it's been a blast!

Have you ever lost your spark for minecraft?

I haven't tried 1.8 still and I'm thinking of playing it again sometime soon. I too had that problem of being bored with the game. Hopefully that update will start up my interest in the game again.

Yes, many times, but I get it back after a while.

I did lost the spark a long time ago. Every game you love is bound to get boring at some point. But I do find it enjoyable still when I mess around with it after a long time of hiatus.

Have you already tried 1.8? How was it? Was it good? I haven't played MC for a long time now and I thought maybe this is the perfect time to comeback.

Yup, currently on one of those little kicks right now. A friend of mine just got me back into Molten WoW so I've been stuck playing that for awhile even though I'm pretty much getting tired of that too.

I lost interest in Minecraft when I discovered the trading market for games, which allowed me to get most games half-off, and also I don't have to wait for sales. Getting games half-off has put many games within my price range, I can get great games I will play for hours on end for less than 10 dollars. For example, I picked up Terraria for 1 key ($2.50), and I played a bunch of that. Since then, I haven't played Minecraft at all, and I don't plan to in the future.

I have had small issues in the past where I will get bored of Minecraft, but in order to solve that issue I just switched a lot of games around. Like if I get bored of Minecraft I play 7 days to die which has the same concept as Minecraft, just a bit more modern.

Yeah, I have. I just started playing minecraft this year last January. And I have experienced that, I didn't play for months because it's boring. But I just started playing this again last week. The update is pretty cool and I have to update my mods which is sucks.

I already lost most of the interest in the game. Building things is starting to become mundane for me. This is the reason why I don't play as much anymore, maybe a couple of hours a week. Playing too long just kills the game for me.
