Have you felt bored playing games yet?

Have you reached the state where you feel like you've lost the interest in games? Like how, you don't get as excited as you use to when a good game is announced. I think I've played too many games in the past or the new games are too rehashed that I've lost the enthusiasm I had towards gaming many years ago.

Not at all I still look forward to a lot of games and I still enjoy gaming just as much I think it depends a lot on your age and how much time you play games in general usually I can only get to game on the weekends so their is a little more excitement for me it might be differ compared to someone that plays throughout the week for short or long periods of time.

I feel with you. I am starting to feel like this more and more as I am older. I used to want to try out all the games and finish them all. Now sometimes I download a game start playing it and just lose interest and not even finish it. Maybe we are just getting old :)

It could be that you just need a break from gaming all together maybe take a month off maybe that will do the trick.

I dont think thats the problem. We are getting a bit older, more serious and have high expectations of games. Its just that I personally dont give many games a true shot at making me like them. If i dont like them at the start I will often just uninstall the game and be over with it.

Sure I get bored of a game after playing it for long enough, but I just move on to another one. I've never gotten bored of gaming in general. Why would I? I've been doing it regularly for the past 18 years. Why would anyone ever get bored of music or movies or TV? Gaming is the same thing.

It has to do with our generation getting older. We will pretty soon lose our say in what games are pushing (expectations wise). We were, however, the generation that did grow up with gaming, and this could make us an extremely rare exception.

I he had the same feeling OP and I have come to realize that it is not that I am growing tired of games but I am growing tired of the developers in the gaming industry not creating good games. Rarely ever do you see a truly unique game, most of the time new games are just as the same as old ones.

I agree with you on that it seems like video games overall just are not as developed as they once were it seems it's about graphics 1st and story 2nd and also annoying bugs and glitches as well, but even if they were not as great as they once where I still enjoy playing games.

Sometimes. Nowadays I am more interested in the plots and story of games instead of how fun the gameplay can be. Of course, plot alone doesn't make a game amazing but I am just fond of engaging storyline.

I usually get bored whilst playing but in that helps changing the game, going outside or watchin a good movie.

Games in general, yes I've gotten bored of the action of playing. The pattern of loading up a game, then doing the same stuff every day or two has gotten boring. So I've moved off games and started watching movies and shows and blogging.

Bored of the lack of synthesis of original stories and games these days, and still looking forward for another game that does just so.

It happens all the time unfortunately. I'll buy a game that I had been waiting for then when I start to play I get bored after a couple hours. I have SOOO many unfinished games it's almost depressing.

Yeah, I felt that too. If I indulge myself into one game for a long time like Minecraft, I stopped myself playing it. Sometimes when I'm playing CS:GO for hours it makes me bored and I will stop playing it for the day.

Yea after I beat a game I always want to go back and finish the small side tasks but never get around to it or just feel bored with it by that time. One example is the Ocarina of Time for the N64.

I feel the same way. I was a big game fan as a child, but now I just don't have the same desire as I did in the past. I still play but I limit my time. Between work and family I really don't have the time anyway.

I know what you mean, dude. My boyfriend I have discussed this as well. We're only in our 20's and we felt like we've played everything in existence. That is, until a new game and concept comes out and our faith is renewed. Of course, there's always indie games. Once a company hits the big time, it seems the only care about the money coming instead of the quality. *Coughs EA! *Coughs* Capcom! *coughs* Excuse me, I have SUCH a nasty cold! :)

LOL^^^very true. The bigger some companies get and more money they make, the more the quality of the game drops. EA is a prime example.
