I suppose it is not technically an MMORPG, but it is based off one :)

What are everyone's thoughts on the game? Are you as excited for it as I am, and are you lucky enough to be in the beta right now?

Personally I can't wait for this game! I love CCG's and the amount of polish and love put into blizzard games just makes me tingle. Looking forward to it.

It's a great casual game, but like you said it's not an MMORPG, more like a RPG if anything.
It's extremely addictive and I waas as keen to play it as you were back when you wrote this. It's so nice that most people have beta keys now, I was dying to get one.

I am going to probably play this. Like it was mentioned, it looks like a casual fun thing. It combines trading card games and warcraft concepts and it's all made by Blizzard, so how can I not love it? I am worried about the game mechanics and the balance though, I hope it's balanced and well-thought out.

It's a really fun casual game. I just got access to the beta so for a few days I have been playing a lot of it. I will say though that the pace that gold is acquired in the game right now is so slow, you almost have to pay real money for additional packs if you want to get new cards at a decent rate. I hope they add more gold income features or remove the daily cap from play mode after release but, I have no clue at the moment.

It's an extremely fun game, I've been playing for about 3 weeks and I'm totally addicted!
The great thing about it is that it is extremely simple to get into and understand, but it can also be extremely complex and tactical if you really get into it.

I've played a few matches with my friend, and we're having a lot of fun.
I like the game because it's easy to get into and can't wait for a full release.

I am going to skip Hearthstone it seems like a game I would lose interest in quickly.

Well you might that of card-based games but since everyone is always coming up with new ideas and counter-ideas, the game ends up being very dynamic and not boring.

It looks pretty fun! I recently got into Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 and I think I'm a TCG fan now. Hearthstone has done some interesting things like disable chat. I will definitely give it a try. It looks pretty fun based on the lets plays I've seen.

The game is really great and has a lot of replay value in my opinion. I feel like there's a lot that Blizzard can do with it in terms of new modes of play, expanding, and more so I'm pretty excited for that.

How does the system work? I know that it's free to play but do you have to pay to unlock anything? Or is it just a way for Blizzard to get people to use their client like the free games for Steam?

I heard good and bad things about this game. I think I may try it out after seeming some people on here raving about it.

You can buy everything with in-game currency that you win by completing quests (kill 40 minions, win 10 fights with a mage, cast 20 spells, things like that)
OR you can just buy card packs with real money as well as entrance to the Arena, which you can also buy with coins.

I played Hearthstone non-stop for about 2 weeks. The game was insanely fun at the beginning but due to numerous balancing issues it became pretty boring. The arena mode is very fun; however, there is a huge RNG issue with drafting cards. If for instance you picked Paladin and couldn't get a Consecration or Truesilver... you're in trouble.

That sounds like a good system. I'll have to check it out when I clear out some of my Steam backlog.
