There are a few things I like better in HOTS than LOL. I think the variety of maps in HOTS allows for better hero balance. Some classes are inheritedly stronger or weaker just because of the map. But the big thing is just the shared exp system. It really allows different strats rather than laning and falling behind if you don“t.

I don't really like HoTS personally but I'm still going to give it a try and see how I like it. They have some unique things that you can't find in LoL.

Blizzard has been quite successful within creating games that actually enter the eSports range (Starcraft, Hearthstone) but I don't think Heroes of the Storm will become a powerful competitive game like DoTA 2 or LoL. It obviously looks interesting because it delves in different lores of different games, but it probably wouldn't attract a large audience from other games like LoL because of how far these games have already went.

I took a look at the game. It looks pretty nice, but it sort of feels like a LoL rip off in a way. I probably will stay with League of Legends though.

Heroes of the Storm has gotten a huge marketing push online and elsewhere, so it's off to the right start. It's a fun game that I'm sure will find a dedicated following in the coming months. It probably won't rival LoL or other games for quite some time, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I don't like HOTS, I played it for a little while, and it is too different from LoL for me to enjoy.

HOTS, despite it's a MOBA, I believe that is quite unique. I've seen a quite few amount of gameplays and I find it very different from LoL.. I definetly will give it a try.

It really is different in that it feels more cooperative within your own time rather than feeling like you are competing against your teammates in LOL. Also the shared exp removes some of the toxicity from the comunity, just from my perspective, it feels more laid back.

I'm thinking about it. I won't move all of a sudden though. I prefer to wait and see how the pro scene develops, what kind of tournaments come up, etc. The game has potential considering Blizzard is behind it.

You're joking, right? You don't like it because it's not LoL...well, then you shouldn't be looking for another LoL in Heroes Of The Storm.

I already played heros of the storm during its early alpha/ beta testing. It isn't league. It's too.. blizzard for my taste. Overall the main thing I didn't like about it was gaining xp/gold from being near the mobs and not actually having to last hit anything, it felt like it was made for casual players but if anyone gets into it and likes it that's good for them. :)

Nah, not really. I'm still staying with my "obsolete" LoL, haha.

I'll legit try this and give my full 2 cents here after I've done so. I feel it's a disservice to say "It sucks" or "It rocks" without trying it. That being said, it looks interesting. And Blizzard's take could be pretty cool, I just don't see myself swapping from LoL to any other MOBA in the near future. If it hooks me harder than LoL I'll even advocate for it. But I don't see that happening either.

I have played League of Legends for a few years and recently I have been leveling up my account in HoTS to try to get to level 20. The game is decent and I do like a few things such as the champion variety, the map pool, and graphics. However, to me it feels that there is something missing from the game. I understand it is supposed to be team based and objective based with a lesser focus on just killing things but it's hard to justify going 20-0 in a game and having nothing to really show for it. The only real advantage you can get is through champion level which does not make me feel much more powerful than my opposition. This is preventing me from liking the game as much as league. I miss having items and I miss the fact that if I am 20-0 with more items than my enemy, I can basically roll over them.
