How can the moral point system be better in Last Light?

    The moral system in 2033 was something of an unknown discovery for many. With the xbox 360 it was linked to achievements which someone eventually figured out how to get.

    I was playing fable and acts of goodness gained you moral points which were easily distinguishable through sounds, tool tips and on screen instructions. However Fable is a RPG and would probably take away from the intensity of Metro.

    So can Moral Points be explained better in Last Light and how?

    I kinda liked how it was a secret you didn't really know wether your actions had consequences and besides the ending they really didn't. I can understand explaining a morality system that really affects game play later down the road and in the case of most games the morality is rather simple helping others is good and hurting others is bad. But unless there are drastic differences I don't really see the need to expouse upon a system affecting so little beyond maybe a comment about your actions reflecting your true self or some such.

    I think it's good that it was vague, though it may have been a little too vague in 2033. Fable works quite well, but I would hate to see the Metro moral points broken down into a mathematical system. Basically, it should have this formula: we don't really "know" how good or bad we are (though the computer will). So we'll be prompted to be either generally good, or generally bad, which will be done by various actions in the game (saving people, refusing payment, etc). Then you get an ending corresponding with your basic morality.

    Good idea?

    I agree on that von streff, when I played I was playing good, giving begar bullets, refusing payment esc, esc and I still didn't get the good ending cause i didn't have enough points.

    That must have been because you didn't run to the dark ones in their visions.

    I literally did nothing nice in the whole game, just discovered secret rooms, put the tape in the transmitter after Outpost and ran to the dark ones in visions and managed to get the good ending.

    Yeah it was probably the visions, I didn't remember any vison where i could walk foward to them (exept the ending) but it's been a while since I played tho.
    There weren't any there, but if you mean the one at outpost, it's on the roof in a little hut, climbe up on some rubble just watch out for them bitches :D

    Polis? I said outpost lol. It's at the top of the building full of Nazis - and yes, it is guarded by 'bitches'.

    There were only a couple where you had any choice. I think one was with Khan, and the other was with the rangers, where you're facing a fence with an ominous red light behind it. You can either wait where you are, turn and run to the rangers, or wait until the fence is destroyed and then follow the dark one inside. I'm assuming that's the one which ultimately gave me the good ending, because I killed a load of people, and only listened to a handful of conversations by accident as I was sneaking around.

    To be fair, even if you earn the good ending it's not immediately obvious lol; after the freaky vision you're just as likely to shoot the Dark one as listen to what he says.

    Keep the moral system the same, it didnt had a major flaw and worked pretty sweet, made you look in every corner of the map :D

    This. It aint broken, so no need to fix it.

    There were plenty of clues about the moral system throughout the game; notably Khan reminds you to take care about your actions etc. As long as these clues remain in Last light I see no reason why anything substantial needs changing.

    I think it should stay, but should just be a bit less vague. I played through the first time without knowing that there even was a morality system.
