How Did Khan survive?

    In one of the chapters in 2033, Khan said that he was with them when they were vanquished, or something among those lines. The chapter where he chants those special words.

    So how did he survive yet everyone else died and were atomised?

    He's Khan. :) Ha ha, but seriously, he's full of mysteries. Maybe his special prayers protected him, maybe he was spared by the anomaly or whatever.

    Didn't he say that after you passes those guards that stand in the way? He also mentions that there where a battle so I figured that he used some of his tricks to survive.
    And if there where a battle he could survive just by sheer luck or by being a better fighter then the rest.

    when you have a meeting with the stalkers before heading to the surface towards the tower, you can see Khan there and talk to him, but did anyone see any characters interacting with him? maybe Arytom is going crazy? :derp:

    Well Khan was one of the the most misterious characters in the metro universe. As i see he is some sort of shaman and can sense the anomalies like Artiom. And about that battle there is very small info. Only know fact is that a lot of people died trying to protect there home station, i think from the mutants. And knowing mutants and Khan shaman skill maybe he was the last man standing or got knocked out but it is only my opinion whatsoever :)

    I think he survived by fleeing from the battlefield and now acts like a guardian angel (helping Artyom and survivors at Cursed station) because he feels guilty.
