How did you get into League of Legends?

WC3. And by that, I mean Defense of The Ancients and similar styled MOBAs and creep games. It evolved, Saw LoL one day in beta touting "Lots more champions" and "More Game Modes" and I was sold, and put out the fact that they were the creators or if not had direct hands in it? Enough to make me want to try it.

 

I got into LoL when my brother introduced it to us his siblings. The four of us played a lot of online games together, we've had guilds, groups and castles together. When we started playing LoL we already knew which role fit for each sibling due to our personalities, preferences and camaraderie.

 

I had heard about it for the longest time, and then most of my friends played League. I eventually caved in and tried it. It's definitely fun.

 

Played WC3 a long time ago, so whenver a good MOBA came out I would check it, it wasn't until like the end of season 3 I decided to play, my roomate had been playing for half a seasons and saying how good it was so I decided to check it out, and then I have been hooked ever since.

 

Nice to see other WC3 players that spawned it, and not just following into the MOBA footprints or ESPORTS scene.

Kidding aside though, WC/DOTA was lovely.

 

Oh yeah up until recently (lost the game file) I would still run WC3 and play some of the customs, they were just so amazing and still are.

 

I got into it in 6 august 2011. A friend of mine recommended I try this one and I had a pretty crappy PC back then, but I was still pretty amazed by this game. I remember playing the tutorial with Ashe and I was like "Damn, this game is really cool".

 

Same with me, I started basically with DOTA playing for free. It always felt a little hacked, so when a full game was actually designed around the gameplay, it was easy to jump over.

I got into LoL thanks to a friend that pushed me to try that. At first I considered LoL to be a really awful game and not interesting at all but then, having a further look into it I really enjoyed it a lot also thanks to the really fun team gameplay that makes LoL one of the funniest game I think I ever played.

 

I got into LoL because of my friends suggestions back in season two where they started at the same time and wanted someone else to play with them. I stopped playing around the end of season two because I forgot my account information. Mid season three is when I came back to the game after a long break because I got bored of other games and was looking for a good free to play game. I now play LoL every day because I like it so much.

 

Funnily enough it was DotA 2. I was curious since everyone was having the DotA vs LoL debate so I downloaded it to try it. I like the characters in LoL much more than the ones in Dota actually, don't really know why but I just do. Both games are fun in my opinion and after the recent upgrade to the summoner's rift, LoL is even better.

 

A couple of years ago, I overlooked the League hype train because one glance at the game declared that I didn't find it amusing. After a few months, I was bored out of my mind with my current selection of games. I went in search for a new game for weeks, perhaps an rpg or something. Nothing looked appealing and those that I have tried were definitely not my type. I gave up and decided to try League out, not having very high expectations, although I should have. At that time I wasn't aware of what a moba was, so I had no idea of what the concept of the gameplay was about, but I found out the reason for all the hype and attention. It's actually one of the best games I've played. I've come to love so many champions and their play style, and even admire the lcs players. Despite the community being somewhat...hard to deal with, I have a love/hate relationship with this game now.

 

I knew League of Legends existed, but I did not have a desire to play until my friends started playing. I was introduced by my best friend, who was trying to recruit people for a five man team. After he taught me how to play (I was not a fan of the tutorial level), I went off on my own and started playing it all the time.

I quickly became addicted and would play for hours, much to the degradation of my grades. I was a lowly Bronze player when I started and have since gone to Gold V. Unfortunately, many of my friends have fallen off the game, and only a few still play.

 

A friend of mine recommended it to me. I was really surprised to see the game back then, and I had a pretty bad computer ... but I managed to play it. Though the tutorial didn't really motivate me to play, after playing a normal game... everything just went so good from that point on.

 

For sure! I remember playing Garen 24/7 (even though he's not too bad right now with the new Juggernaut changes) with Phantom Dancer, Infinity Edge and Warmog's. Good old times.

My friend started playing and ask me to join. I watched a few streams online and tried it out.

 

Well i was at my friend's house and I was very, very bored. His Xbox was broken and wasn't capable to play a game or something.
And i was sooooooo bored and i wasn't too far to fall asleep ) At a point, i asked my friend if I can see what kind of games does he has. And i saw LoL. I taught it's something interesting and i tried it.
That's true, i was a really big noob and I had no idea how is this game supposed to be played but i liked it.
And since that day, i play LoL. and it's like for 3 years i guess
