How do you feel about the FFXIV: A Realm Rewoken Patch?

    So Final Fantasy 14 just released the biggest patch I've ever seen in an MMO otside of relaunches and expansion packs. The patch notes were apparently over 90 pages long. Have any of you experienced it yet? Has it changed the game in a good way?

    I haven't gotten to experience everything, but so far I have no reason complain. I have a few minor gripes with some of the UI changes but I'll get used to it. I especially like the Dungeon Roulette and PvP (which is one of the reasons I got the game in the first place.

    I haven't gotten to experience a lot of the patch, since I mostly craft and gather but I can think of a few things that might be "gripe worthy".
    They've made this great housing system, but it's so expensive that like 1 or 2 Free Companies have enough money for a house on my Server. And that's a server from 1.0. There are some that also say this has crippled the economy, due to players going into saving mode and no one is buying anything. A lot of gathering mats are now available from Beast Tribe vendors, resulting in deflated prices for those goods provided by gatherers.

    Yeah, I've heard about the expensive housing. Terrible idea. Just terrible. Every other MMO has it so that houses are cheap, and you can show off rare decorations and shit. I hope they change it to the classic system.

    I stopped playing after realizing how crappy it was. That was prior to the release of the patch. What does the patch improve on anyway? I doubt they can change the whole system.

    I think they balanced a lot of stuff for PvP. I was reading on Reddit about how a bunch of the popular builds were made obsolete because they made such drastic nerfs to some of the most widely used/overpowered skills.
