How long do you guys usually spend building your projects?

I have to admit, when I'm building something, I usually tend to get bored of it and quit after a while. I will work diligently on one structure, being the perfectionist I am, trying to make every edge and angle into perfect proportions. But usually, I go for creating these big structures which, I eventually lose interest in. Because of this, I have rarely finished building a project in Minecraft.

Depends really, normally I just get bored and end up deleting the world so I don't finish the project but sometimes it can take me months to complete what I started, normally I play with friends so it doesn’t take us too long

If I'm really into it, it might take me a few hours in building time. If it's a big project then it will usually take maybe 5+ hours so I break it up into small chunks to complete over the course of a week.

What kinds of structures have you tried to create?

I'm a big fan of creating adventure maps, or creating large structures with friends. If I'm making something on a server, it's a lot easier not to get bored of it, because there's lots of people coming up with lots of ideas and getting lots of work done.
Disclaimer: this works if you have a private server up. If your server is public, you'll just end up with a lot of penis statues covering the landscape.

Whenever I have a project I always lose track of time because I'm really concentrating on the details. I do get frustrated after a long while, but I tend to take a break and return to it at a later time. I almost always finish. Almost. It's easier to finish if there's someone else helping me.

I usually spend a lot of time on my projects if I'm really that interested. Then again, I agree with you because after a while I do get bored and just give up for a while. I usually never really pick it up again until I'm really bored again. I have a great beach mansion and it's almost done, I only really play on it when I'm with my friends though. Other then that I think the last time I played it was a few months ago.

It really depends on the project at hand. I could take anywhere between an hour to days at a time. There's really no limit to my building time, lol.

My most recent Minecraft project, my mansion, took around six hours to complete. I had to plan it, gather for it, and build it. Depending on how large the project is it can take up to eight hours or more! I know a friend who built the Jedi Temple, taking him around four hundred hours to complete!

Well currently I am playing on a server that offers Skyblock as one of the modes and I have been working on that for about a year now and still building. I think my island in the sky is rank 8 now, I feel very proud of that and have to keep building so I don't get a lower rank.

What I build usually are redstone structures or games and large kingdoms and homes. The average time of completion for my redstone structures is about 4 hours as I first have to plan it on a piece of paper to make sure I do not have to redo wiring due to incorrect placement and to minimize occupied space for the mechanisms. The recent one I made which is a mob arena took about 5 hours to make, and it has a levelling system, as well and various shops and custom spawning algorithms, and its built to play with my friends over lan and have a great load of fun. As for homes and kingdoms, those are usually built in my factions server or singleplayer survival and are built over several days or even months as I have to gather resources, alter stuff and decorate it.

I don't spend a long time on building houses but there is an exception when it come to using mod like industrial craft. I spend days on the project and I'm improving it again.

If I'm being serious with the project I tend to spend more than 3 hours with that. If I really like it I end up spending weeks even. But for the most part I only spend 1 or 2 hours max and then move on to something more interesting.

I'll spend a few hours on most large-scale projects, and I don't give up until they're done. I tend to focus upon the finer details, but I've gotten to the point where I can get things taken care of pretty quickly. Even being precise can go quickly after you've done it enough times.

I can spend a few hours a day creating my huge projects like my desert palace but if it's just one house. It'll take about 1-2 hours to create.

It depends, really, sometimes I can spend a lot of time working on one thing, but I'll get really bored of it and start working on something else.. Sometimes I'll have a few different things going at one time, just so I can continue to swap back and forth between them when boredom strikes me. I get them done eventually.

I can never stick with a project long enough to see it through, I will start building something, get bored and start a whole new game. I really don't have the attention span to build grand structures.

It honestly depends on the project. Sometimes I feel like going big and I start doing a project that can take days. Sometimes it's just a small house and it takes minutes.

That depends what it is that I'm making. Sometimes my big buildings are done faster than the smaller stuff, because the smaller buildings need more detail, but I'm usually done with whatever I'm making in about 2 days. I don't do a lot of huge projects.
