How much $ have you spent?

How much dollars have you spent on this game so far? I am proud to say that I didn't spend one buck on this game (which is free to play). I consider people who've spent their money on this a little naive, skins don't make a difference at all, only shows you have money to throw away.

I don't think it's foolish to spend money on the game, because they have to make money somehow and without fan support then we all won't have a game to play. I myself have not paid anything for this as I don't like skins and I just use whatever champion is in free rotation because that way I get to learn new ones that I've never given a shot before.

I haven't spent any money on the game, but I don't blame anyone that does. If you like a particular skin, why not buy it. It also helps the developers pay the bills.

I haven't spent any but my friends have and I have benefited from that. I don't think anyone is wrong to buy whatever they want because at the end of the day, it's permanent until you die.

I haven't spent a single penny on the game, yet I've unlocked 80% of the champion roster through gameplay alone, and the occasional free Riot Points packages.

yeah, it seems pointless to spend money on it unless you want to advance quicker. You could unlock most of the stuff without spending a dime. It's more fun and rewarding to complete it on your own.

I don't find skins important to the game at all and I haven't spent a single penny on them. What's really important is the gameplay and as long as it's good I will keep playing. I can, however, understand people that want to buy skins and I'm completely ok with them and I'm even happy they are supporting the developers that brought us Riven.

I haven't spent more than 50$ on the game. I only bought a couple of expensive skins that I wanted and all the rest were bought when they were on sale.

I think I've spent around $10-$20 total for the game. I'd say Riot does a really good job dragging people to buy RP without completely making the game pay-to-win.

I see so many angels up here saying that they didn't spend anything. I don't trust you guys! Seriously, I don't! I've spent pretty much money on this game buying skins and that only because I liked both the champion and the skin. I'm not saying that you have to spend money, but getting 1-2 skins is like getting a piece new piece of cloth. Maybe you don't particulary need it, but you still buy it because you like it.

If you'll look up at the players in the highest divisions, they are not that concerned over skins, they pretty much use the standard ones, even if they could afford every single one in the game.

I don't know anyone that is really into skins, regardless of their skill level. The top players really don't care about skins at all. I'd love to see the breakdown of which players purchase skins.

Zero. I believe if you need to pay more to a game, then it's not fun anymore. Skins, new sounds, images; these don't make the game more fun. Your skill can't be bought or limited by money, so that's where gamers should rely on. I think this culture we have right now of "paying for miscellaneous microtransactions" is really ridiculous, as it forces players to pay for something that should already be in the game.

I've probably spent around $100 on the game at this point. I don't buy champions because I don't see a point in it when I can get them for free. I used to think that it was really foolish to spend money on a free game but then I thought about how much server costs must be to run it and how nice Riot is to offer this game for free in the first place. After I got a bit more clarity on that issue, I began dipping my toes in the water and buying a bit of RP here and there. Since doing that the first few times, I really don't mind supporting the game and buying skins. I still stand on my rule about buying champions but there's just some skins that are too awesome not to buy. :p

It's great that people are given the chance to enjoy the game almost completely without ever having to spend a single penny. You just have to keep playing and I think that's a fair trade since as long as there are many people playing their game then they can keep their investors happy.

Over the 3 years playing I've probably spent around $200 on the game which I don't think is too bad since I don't buy any new $60 video games when they come out, just play league. To each their own though, that's just how I justify it to myself haha.

I'm not sure who you are to come out and judge people on what they've spent their money on. The game is free to play yes, but the company still needs to earn money, and they do so by people that want to support it.

So it isn't "throwing away money", it's choosing to spend it on something you consider worth it. People that buy skins aren't 'naive', they enjoy how that specific skin looks, and they want to stick out compared to the hundreds of thousands of others.

Sure not spending a buck on this game can be something to be proud of, but looking down on people that do? At that point, you should just hope the game shuts down, as you clearly don't want anyone supporting the company.

I didn't invest any money into the game...at least not yet. The skins and champions are lucrative but since I've only started playing a little while ago, I don't feel a strong urge to throw money into it. I'm content with the free rotations for now. Who knows, maybe in the future I'll give in and buy some skin

I have never spent a single cent on games. However, that is because I do not have the financial capability to do so. For those people who can afford to spend money on free games, they are actually doing us a favour. Without these people, the game will not be free to play. After all, the game makers need to earn money in order to survive.

I can honestly say that I have not spent a single penny on this game. I don't think that I have ever spent any money on a free game. I have bought games for the computer in the past. I am just a really cheap person and poor. I don't plan on spending money on this game in the future.
