I'm a pretty big fan, and Metro has made me far more interested in Russian games and books, as well as movies.

Well,it's the german collector's edition. It contains a watch,a teddy bear hand key holder and a heavy automatic shotgun. And that's it.The watch, while cool is of rather poor quality.

I only have the game and read the book about three times, and also have a gasmask, but I love the game, which I've played quite a few times.

I've played the game a million times over, read Metro:2033 the same amount of times and then read 2034. only once though because it was a bit awkward to read because of the poor translation.

I haven't bought anything else Metro though, I've considered buying Metro avatar items from xbl marketplace but I ended up making my guy look like a Russian freedom fighter with his ushanka hat, urban combat armour and AK74. Yes I know the Ushanka is very stereotypical.

I've never really had a go at writing a metro story like you guys do in the roleplay section although i'd love to I don't think i'd be anywhere near as good. That and I get bored of it quickly.

I want to read the Metro books written by the fans but I don't understand any other language other than English i'm sorry to say. I'm considering learning Russian though.

I do regularly check up on the forums though. <-- I never thought to add that in :O

I do have a real Russian GP-5 gas mask though. Got that for £15 with a unopened filter. Bargain!

So I was just browsing these posts (first time in a while since I've been here) and realized how much I missed this awesome forum... thus I decided to return, and I think doing so by bragging about how much of a fan I am is a good way to come back. :p Since I got the game in August of 2011, I completed Metro 2033 four times (once on easy, once on normal, once on ranger mode easy, once on ranger mode hardcore) and got all 100% of the Steam achievements - spent almost 60 hours on the game. Then I got the first book (Metro 2033) in English and read it. After that, I bought Metro 2034 in Polish and read it.

Then I received Питер in Polish as a gift (it is a novel written by a fan, released as part of the Вселенная Метро 2033 series) and read it; it is currently my favourite of all the stories set in Glukhovsky's amazing, post-apocalyptic world. Питер has inspired me to start writing my own book in this setting. Since that day, I've written 40 pages in MS Word (which is equal to around 80 pages if it was in the traditional, A5, book-size format). I'm writing it in Polish though and I want to translate it to English as soon as I am done.

This might sound a bit silly, but... my biggest dream right now is to finish both language versions of it and get it released as part of the Вселенная Метро 2033 series. Whilst writing the book, I've also decided that I must learn Russian. Since I made that decision, I've learnt the entirety of the modern Russian Cyrillic script and know how to read and write it. Whilst I understand some of the words, I still need to learn the actual Russian language but I guess now that I know their whole alphabet, I have a good base to build upon.

Anyway, guess I went a bit off-topic there. I feel bad now that the first post signifying my return just happened to be in this topic. :eek:hwell:
