I'm interested in reactivating my old EU DF1 account for Unholy Wars on a US server. I heard it was possible, but the new account management doesn't recognize my old account.

Definitely seems blique, you could try calling the company, maybe if you had the receipt and transaction code they'd understand and work something out...
