How to climb the division ladder

If you want to get into a better division your best choice is to win the majority of your games. That's simply it. There's no real secret to it, just make sure you're so efficient at your job that you end up giving your team such a massive advantage that they simply cannot lose.
If you're a support main in bronze however, I'm sorry. That must be really tough.

 

Focus on learning how to farm properly first in a custom bot match. see how close you can get to 60-70 cs by the 10 minute mark and get used to last hitting animations. gold from minions is just as valuable as getting a kill, around 15 cs is the equivalent of a kill. keep that in mind. Then when you're in an actual game, you have to learn how to focus objectives properly. Learning where to ward and learning to not follow your teammates into poor decisions that cost you objectives. Just watch a few streams and watch the flow of the game. question, why did they take this, why did they go here, why did they lose that fight etc. just question everything and analyize the game and you'll get better. Focus on 2-3 champions and you should climb slowly. Learn from your mistakes and win games.

 

My advice is that, before you go for ranked games, you should try to get better at the champion(s) you're playing with since you wouldn't want to make ranked games your first stepping stone for that matter.

Secondly, don't take it so seriously. The more easy-going you take it, the better you will be at winning games.

 

My advice is to basically carry your own weight in ranked, and maybe one or two others. What you can do is win your lane really hard and start roaming, then killing everyone else in the other lanes. You can get really fed and split push to win.

 

Short answer: Have a >50% winrate.
Long answer: Focus not on winning, but on improving yourself. Think about it, you're bronze, there's plenty of things in ALL aspects of the game that you can get better at.

Farming: are you getting >80 farm at 10 minutes ? are you getting >160 at 20 ?
I speak from experience when I say that just pulling these numbers every game will give you a massive advantage. Most Bronze players I've seen only get like 100 farm at 20. If you get 160 (it's certainly possible to get more) you already have like 1.2k gold more. Having a 60 cs gold lead is the same as being 4/0/0 with the same farm. (obviously, being 4/0 will give you more advantages because it denies your opponent XP and Gold, but it's harder and unnecessary. Also unreasonable to expect being 4/0 in every game after laning phase)

Positioning: are you dying a lot every game ? Getting ridiculous scores like 10/8 or 7/7 every single game ?
Work on your positioning. Don't trade kills if possible, only if you gain more from it than your opponent. (example: if you kill him while the minion wave is moving towards his tower, you will get a kill AND deny one or two waves of minions, so you come out on top)

Overall tips: always buy a ward when going to base. Sometimes it's better to buy a pink ward and a green ward for dragon than buying a Blasting Wand. Vision wins game alone if you know how to make the most of it. I've given up on buying something like Seeker's Armguards or Amp. Tomes just to get that vision down in order to win an objective.

To explain this like you're five you pretty much have to win the majority of your games and lose very few. I haven't played League this season so I can't necessarily give you any specific advice but I should tell you to keep a steady head and be confident. Don't worry about your rank too much because that'll cause negative thoughts, leading to toxic communication and making bad decisions.

 

Just try to focus on your gameplay and not the actual rank. Once you're going to get good at the game you will rise in ranks too, so don't worry about that. Divisions and LP are just numbers that should matter very little to you.
