I restarted Metro Last Light after playing it on a non-ranger normal playthrough and it has set me on Ranger Hardcore. How do I fix this?

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

Okay so I just started up Metro Last Light Redux (I don't have the original one installed, and I heavily recommend you to play the Redux version). The Redux might be different with this possibility from the original one, but I started up a game with Ranger Hardcore, then went back to the main menu and changed to "Normal". Then I pressed Continue, got back to my save, and voila; My HUD was back. This might work for the original Last Light, try that. I know there are three different difficult-settings in Normal and in Hard, but couldn't manage to choose any of those, only "Normal" and "Hard".

TLDR; Go to main menu and change the difficulty there, under Options - Game Options - Difficulty. Hope this helps :)
