    I have been searching for one for four days now. Does anyone know a better way to find them? I have seen comments about getting them after server restart, but due to work I cannot get on until several hours after restarts. I got so frustrated today that I ended up going on a rampage through Southern Barrens killing all the beasts and critters with no new leads. Any suggestions?​

    I had trouble finding mine as well, and killing other animals to force them to spawn didn't produce any (for me - ymmv). Then I tried logging in about 4:30 am server time (6:30 my time) on a Saturday morning, and found two calves right off the bat.

    They randomly appear. I have seen one or two only.

    The secret is you have to kill all other pets in that area. Then only they will appear. You have to clean that area.

    They are a really really rare spawn. That is the only way.

    As opposed to what others have said, there is nothing you can do to get them to spawn. Don't go killing the other animals unless you have too much time. It will not make them spawn faster. It's completely random.
